Fleetwood grows from its humble beginnings in California

Before making a large investment in a vehicle, such as an RV, consumers want to know that they're putting their money in the right place. Too often, customers often find that they've spend thousands of dollars on an RV only to be dissatisfied with the quality of the vehicle.

One company is working to change the reputation of the industry and enhance the camping experience for consumers: Fleetwood RV. This business, which has been in operation since the 1950s, has more than 18,000 employees who are dedicated to producing top-quality RVs for camping enthusiasts across the country.

Fleetwood RV has quickly become a Fortune 500 company since starting out in its humble beginnings in California. The company was originally known as Coach Specialities, operated by John Crean. Coach Specialties manufactured accessories for RVs, but Crean soon realized that there was more to the industry that he could embark upon.

When the company began developing RVs, the name changed to Fleetwood RV. The rest is history: Crean immediately found success manufacturing vehicles, and the company's positive reputation continues to grow today.
