Four lanterns rolled into one convenient device

Light can be in short supply during camping trips, especially when traveling with a large group of people. During the night in the woods, even mundane tasks like walking to the bathroom become impossible without illumination, and there never seems to be enough flashlights to go around. However, new technology is "shedding light" on this familiar problem.

The Coleman LED Quad Lantern has four individual panels that combine to make up the unit. As a whole, the lantern can provide up to 75 hours of light using eight D-cell batteries. But the four removable sections each provide light of their own via a rechargeable NiMH battery. The panels can easily be snapped off to be taken on a quick journey, and then returned to the base, where they immediately begin recharging.

"Awesome light," said a customer on CampingWorld.com. "Very bright, batteries last long and the option to remove and have four separate individual lights is a big plus."

Whether hanging from a tent pole or sitting on a food table, the quad lantern offers portable light at the snap of a finger, and should always be included with camping gear.
