RV expert offers tips for weekend getaway fun
RV expert Mark Polk says having a great RV adventure doesn't have to mean traveling a long way from home. Polk writes on RV.net that getting away close to home for a quick weekend trip can be as rejuvenating as a longer jaunt.
Shorter trips, according to Polk, are not only fun but they're cost-effective. "A 200 mile, or less, round trip from home won't cost much in fuel, food or campground fees and it might be just what the doctor ordered for some well deserved relaxation and time to recharge," he writes.
Individuals can use websites like ReserveAmerica.com, which is the largest provider of campsite reservations in North America, to find camping spots closer to home. The site's "Find Camping Spot" feature allows users to enter their zip code to discover and make reservations for campgrounds within a certain distance from their homes.
What's important to remember, says Polk, is that you don't have to travel hundreds of miles to enjoy your RV. He says enjoying it is what's important - no matter where you're parked!
