PSAs encourage travel

The U.S. Travel Association has partnered with the Travel Channel to create some public service announcements (PSA) encouraging Americans to get out and take a trip.

The campaign consists of three 15-second spots that explain the benefits of travelling for health, education, creativity and job performance. Among the information included, studies prove that an annual vacation can cut the risk of a heart attack by 50 percent, kids who travel do better in reading, math and general knowledge than kids who don't take trips and downtime improves job creativity and performance.

There's also a 30-second PSA that promotes the benefits of travelling for overall well-being.

The PSAs are currently appearing on the Travel Channel and are available for the travel industry as a whole, free of charge. Travel industry organizations and associations are encouraged to link to the PSAs from their own websites and make them available to customers and constituents. They are available for download at USTravel.org.

The U.S. Travel Association is actively engaged in advocating for why travel matters, promoting its economic impact to policymakers and its impact on the bottom line to business leaders.ADNFCR-2712-ID-19604241-ADNFCR
