Scholarships available for RV company workers and their dependents

College students majoring in business, finance, economics, accounting, or other RV related subjects are encouraged to apply to receive a $2,500 scholarship through the RV Learning Center.

The scholarship program is for RV company employees and their dependents. A factor in awarding the scholarship may be an applicant's background of RV industry employment or a desire to work in the RV business after graduation.

"The purpose of the RV Learning Center scholarship is to help students acquire knowledge and skills that will contribute to the future of the RV industry," said Newt Kindlund, who, along with his family, has fully funded the $270,000 foundation scholarship endowment. "Joanne and I urge all eligible students to apply and take advantage of this excellent opportunity to advance their educational goals."

Applications for the 2010-2011 academic year are due by June 4. Applicants must fulfill several requirements to be considered for the scholarship including maintaining a 2.8 or better cumulative grade point average and completing a 500-word essay on their goals and objectives of attending college.
