RVIA using social networking to build excitement for centennial celebration

The Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) is bringing attention to the industry's 100 year anniversary celebration by launching "100 Days of RV History and Lifestyle" tweets on Go RVing's Twitter account.

Each day for the 100 days leading up to the industry's centennial celebration at the RV/Motorhome Hall of Fame and Museum, RVIA will post a tweet about the RV lifestyle or the RV industry's history on the popular social networking site Twitter.

The daily messages are intended to raise awareness of the industry's 100 year history and encourage people to get involved in the centennial celebration.

Individuals interested in receiving the daily tweets can register on twitter.com.

"The Centennial is an industry-wide celebration that will continue throughout 2010 and help lift the industry's spirits as it draws positive attention to RVing, helping us stress a positive message about the industry to counteract the difficult economic conditions we have faced," said RVIA Chief Marketing Officer Gary LaBella. "I encourage all RV manufacturers, dealers, suppliers, campgrounds, owner groups, and publishers to schedule their own celebrations on a large or small scale."

In addition to the tweets and other centennial celebration events, the industry is working to have June declared RV Centennial Celebration Month with a proclamation from both President Obama and Congress.ADNFCR-2712-ID-19657090-ADNFCR
