Keystone, Winnebago announce recalls

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced a few new recalls that may be of interest to owners of Keystone and Winnebago products.

Keystone RV is recalling 242 model year 2010 Fuzion travel trailers and fifth wheels with the Touring Edition II package.

The rear ramp door cable support bracket bolts may fail when the door is used in the patio position. A falling door can lead to increased risk of personal injury if a person is on the door in the patio position.

Dealers will replace the ramp door cable hardware with the correct hardware free of charge.

In addition, Winnebago Industries is recalling 79 model year 2010 Sightseer D33C, Vista E30W, Itasca Sunova D33C and Itasca Sunstar E30W motorhomes to fix a faulty circuit.

The motorhomes, manufactured between July 16, 2009 and January 14, 2010, may have wiring from an incomplete 120-volt circuit that may become energized.

The NHTSA says the connector at the end of the circuit is not covered, and could potentially allow someone to make contact with an energized conductor. A person touching this connector may suffer an electrical shock resulting in personal injury or death.

Dealers will install the missing conductors and receptacle free of charge.ADNFCR-2712-ID-19677734-ADNFCR
