Things to do around 'The Rally'

The largest RV event of the year, known as "The Rally," is set for July 22 through July 25 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Rally attracts RVers from around the country. Attendance is expected to be around 4,500 RVs, which accounts for about 10,000 people each day.
The event features hundreds of new rigs, indoor exhibits, more than 150 seminars by the RV industry's leaders and experts, and headlining entertainers Bob Newhart and Tanya Tucker, as well as contests and activities for visitors of all ages.

Trailer Life magazine recently gave some suggestions on other things to do, besides attending the Rally itself, while in the Louisville area.
The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is located in the heart of the city and a perfect destination for baseball lovers. Besides a tour of the factory, the museum features memorabilia, including some of the bats swung by baseball's greats.

A visit to Churchill Downs is so synonymous with Louisville that it's a can't-miss attraction.

Visitors may also choose to take a scenic cruise on the Belle of Louisville steamboat, the oldest operating steamboat in the nation.

Just outside the city is the Jefferson Memorial Forest. It's a great option for outdoor lovers, offering hiking, fishing, tent camping and more.
