Take the stress out of Thanksgiving
Individuals looking to get away for the Thanksgiving holiday may consider travelling to one of the eight Tennessee state parks with restaurants to enjoy a feast with friends and family, without the hassle of having to cook and clean.
Thanksgiving turkey and all the traditional trimmings, along with an assortment of desserts, will be available beginning at 11 a.m. until closing at state park restaurants across Tennessee. Selections and prices will vary depending on location and groups are encouraged to make reservations.
Participating parks include Cumberland Mountain, David Crockett, Fall Creek Falls, Henry Horton, Montgomery Bell, Natchez Trace, Paris Landing and Pickwick Landing.
Individuals can get more information about Thanksgiving dinners by visiting TN.gov.
RVers and campers at other campgrounds may consider hosting a potluck Thanksgiving dinner to enjoy the holiday without having to handle all of the cooking.
Another way to celebrate the holiday is to simply use your RV for travelling and sleeping, and to leave the cooking to someone else!
No matter what your final dinner plans are, remember that campgrounds usually fill up during holiday weekends. Make reservations in advance to ensure you can stay where you want.
