Satellite service enhances RV trips

RV owners who are ready to take off their covers and embark on a motorhome trip may miss the comforts of home. For many travelers, this includes the convenience of television programming during down time.

Recently, Winegard Company announced that it will provide subscribers a pay as you go option through DISH Network, which may be beneficial to motorhome travelers. Instead of being locked into a contract and paying for television when it may not be available, motorhome owners who sign up for this plan can find relief in only paying when they desire to access the service, according to RV News Service.

"RVers, campers, tailgaters and truckers have long desired seasonal or temporary service without having to pay for service for an entire year, and we see Pay As You Go programming as a great option," Winegard Company director of mobile products Aaron Engberg told the news source.

The DISH Network ViP211k satellite receiver will allow users to purchase television for 30 days at a time. Users will also have the ability to stop and start service whenever they choose to on the road. For motorhome owners who are not tech-savvy, installation service is available as well.
