Winnebago debuts RV for disabled

Recreational vehicle manufacturer Winnebago has introduced a new fuel-efficient ERA Class B motorhome for RVers with physical challenges.

Among some of the features that make this motorhome especially beneficial for disabled individuals are wider aisles inside the vehicle, wheelchair lock-downs behind the front cab seats, bath doors that swing out for easy access and a custom kitchen.

In addition, the vehicle is equipped with a Ricon KlearVue lift in the rear of the motorhome to provide easy access in and out of the ERA.
The RV also has features that appeal to non-disabled RVers. These include UltraLeather furnishings, solid-surface countertops and a 15-inch pivoting TV with DVD player.

A 5,000-pound hitch and optional patio awning are additional highlights of the coach, which is built on an 8,550-pound Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis. The ERA also has a fuel efficient 3L 6-cylinder turbo-diesel Mercedes-Benz engine, as well as an aerodynamic design with smooth lines and full body paint.

The RV has a ceiling height of 6 feet, 3 inches and an exterior length just over 24 feet.
