Electrical Hatches & Outlets
It is amazing how quickly we take electricity for granted. When out on the road we routinely hook up to full electric and water. But what happens when you get home? Unless you have a separate, outdoor outlet box, your RV can sit for months without power. That is reason enough to invest in a 30 or 50 amp circuit for your home.
It doesn’t take much to keep all of your RV systems dry and free of mold and mildew. Just plug in your camper before you store it for the winter and you don’t have to fill the system with anti-freeze. Leave the heat set high enough to avoid freezing and your winterizing is done. Add a couple of lockable electrical hatches and you can protect your cords when they aren’t in use between warm weather trips.
