15W Screw-in Flourescent Bulb

0 out of 0 people found this review helpful.

There is no doubt that flourescents provide more light in lumins than incandescents per watt of power. For approximately one-fourth the battery power, a 12-volt flourescent bulb is a good idea, but this bulb, unfortunately, is equipped with a standard household screw-in base. Most RVs use a much smaller bayonet base for all 12V bulbs. Also, there are few RV light fixtures that will accommodate a bulb of this large physical size. For this reason, this bulb can only be used in a vanishingly small number of RVs. I have a feeling people will screw this into a 120V fixture and distroy it. However, there is no doubt that if you can use it, you should.
