Hard wired is better than plugging something else in.

Earlier this summer we lost a 15000 btu ac and a flat screen tv in our camper due to
two power surges at the campground that we always camp at. The camping ground is
old and has poor power so I purchased a surge guard power booster regulator, so
when the power got below a certain amount it would come on and boost the power by 10 percent. Excellent product! but it does nothing to protect your camper from power surges, so that leads me to this product. I installed it in about 20 minutes, pretty simple , just think of it as a fusable link, 3 wires in 3 wires out presto! I gave this product a 4 out of 5 only because it hasn't been tested yet by a surge, but it turned on and did everything that was described per installation instructions, but I feel very confident it will do what it is supposed to do.
