Easy Installation, After Trips to Buy Parts

4 Stars instead of 5 because you have to make a trip to hardware store to purchase extra wire and attachment for your battery. (Why the manufacturer didn't include these in the kit is baffling to me, as an engineer.) You'll also want a few long zip-ties to secure the wire to your frame and you'll want to wrap up your splices in lots of electrical tape to keep the water out.

I purchased this over a month ago. My son is in town this week and installed it for me today, very easy and straight forward. I should have opened the box as soon as it arrived and compared it to the standard tong jack. My old one is a 2 1/2 inch and this is a 2 inch. Had I noticed that then I would have returned it. It will probably work just fine but we will have to test it to see, I just couldn't use the flip foot that we had installed on the old one because it's for the 2 1/2 inch and won't fit.

I got my previous electric jack from Camping world and had transferred it to other new travel trailers over the last 15 years. When I got the camper out this spring, the jack had finally died. I thought I'd try to get along without it for awhile. Just a couple of times up, then down cured me of that thought. I placed an order almost immediately. Easy installation and it's just like the old one, except a little noiser. I'll live with that.
