the unit works fine as fare as lifting the trailer. It was easy to install, the only problem I had was one light didn't
work it turned out to be a defective light socket. they sent me a new socket but I didn't replace it . It would have been
a difficult job needing to take the unit apart to wire thenew socket up. I will use it with only one light.
I only installed jack about 3 weeks ago and havn't used it except when installing. It worked very well when tested. Easy to install, I would recommend this jack for the price. I would probably give 5 stars if it works as well all summer as it has so far!
Jack works very good but 1 light did not work it has a bad socket. I found this after the jack was mounted and wired. I would recomend that anybody buying this unit bench test before installing !!!
I installed this jack as soon as I received it. In doing so, I placed it on the bottom of the frame in order to gain more height. Unfortunately, when I turned onto a road with a deep dip, it bent the mount. I changed its position to the top of the frame to correct the problem, and still have plenty of lift. The jack is sturdy and does a great job. I would recommend
it to anyone.
I purchased this over a month ago. My son is in town this week and installed it for me today, very easy and straight forward. I should have opened the box as soon as it arrived and compared it to the standard tong jack. My old one is a 2 1/2 inch and this is a 2 inch. Had I noticed that then I would have returned it. It will probably work just fine but
we will have to test it to see, I just couldn't use the flip foot that we had installed on the old one because it's for the 2 1/2 inch and won't fit.
I purchased this to ease the pain of cranking up the trailer when camping. I installed the jack onto the camper and was very disappointed that it sounded HORRIBLE!! It barely moved my camper down let alone up.I was headed out to go camping and had to manually raise and lower my camper, cause the motor did not work. I contacted Camping World and talked to a very friendly and courteous lady that helped me order an exchange for the jack. The jack arrived
within a week, unfortunately not in time for my trip, and I just installed it on my camper. This one worked flawlessly, minimal noise with no problems lifting my trailer. I would have given this jack 5 stars but had major issue with first one. The lady I talked to was fantastic and very sympathetic about my issue, and assured me that maybe I had just
gotten a bad one and that they would take care of it. They sent a new one along with a return shipping label!!!!! Thanks Camping World!
I bought this tongue jack a couple of weeks ago, and just had a chance to install it today. Installation was simple, anyone with a bit of DIY knowledgecando it in a snap. The kit did not come with everything you need though, that's why only 4 stars, and I've not used it on a trip yet. You will need a means of connecting the in-line fuse holder to the battery +
terminal, I used a crimp on ring terminal ( yellow for #10 wire), and a #10 butt splice to connect the other side of the inline fuse holder to the motor on the jack. It runs great, lifts the tongue on my Coachmen Cascade like a breeze. Excellent value for the price!
A handle is not included, but the jack does have a socket adapter for emergency operation in case of power outtage.
