This tongue Jack came installed on my new trailer. I purchased the trailer from camping world in June of 2011. I have used the jack 8-10 times and won't be using it anymore as the jack collapsed while extending it at a campsite when hooking up to come home. Fortunately no major damaged (that I can tell) to my tow vehicle and trailer and no one was hurt. I have read many comments on other websites complaining of the same issue with this model. I'm perfectly fine with the fact that the 1 year warranty just expired and I will have to buy a new jack.

We had an LCI tongue jack on our 2010 Springdale. It worked OK for about a year. This weekend went to leave for a trip and tongue jack wouldnt work. Found that the motor was shot. To add insult to injury the cotter pin inside the manual assembly was sheared off. My father has the same jack on his 2011 Springdale. His broke down within the trailers warranty. Definitely will not purchase another one.

This was replacing a unit about 15 years old, that failed. It took only about 15 minutes to dismount the old one, and replace it with the new one, and it works like a dream! I only wish that I had gotten the black unit, instead of the white, because a) the LED light on the unit lights up the whole head (which makes it look cheap), and b) I'm sure that a few more encounters wth the gloves I use to hook-up/unhook the trailer will start leaving dirty smudges on the pristine-lloking power head. I didn't realize HOW much I relied on the power tongue jack until the old one failed, and I had to manually raise and lower the trailer for connecting, using a bottle jack and blocks. It took me about twenty minutes to do each. Even if you have a manual tongue jack, it's sure a lot quicker and easier to push a button, especially if it's raining, the bugs are biting, and it's hot out!!
