This jack was very easy to install on my Hi-Lo Classic and I should have done it years ago so that I could have been enjoying the ease of hooking up my load leveler bars and leveling the trailer on camp site. I really like the light feature that is very handy when hooking up or unhooking in the dark. Good value for the price.

I have been very happy with this jack. I installed it myself, and it was a breeze. By lowering the adjustable foot, I don't need to put any blocks under the jack to raise the hitch off the ball. I also don't have any clearance issues with the tailgate on my 3/4 ton Suburban.

Why I waited a single day to ever buy this product is beyond me. I purchased 3/4 of the way through this camping season and have used it on 2 trips as well as around the house while relocating the trailer a few times. Should have purchased one when I got the trailer to begin with. I over sized and went with the 4k so I could use it on a bigger trailer in the future. Not only is it faster than hand jamming the old jack, it's much easier and makes that part of the process so much more enjoyable. Installation was very easy in my opinion. You will need a few butt-connecters (yellow) and a few battery terminal connecters to complete the installation. Instructions were very clear and to the point in my opinion, I don't need a 4 page instruction on how to wire up a 12V power and ground wire though. Great product, no problems so far with it, would highly recommend.

Has been good so far. I read in a review before I bought it that if mounted in the forward position you may not be able to have the tailgate down on your truck so I took the reviewers advice and rotated it to the drivers side of the truck and it works perfectly. Had to go to the hardware store for electrical connections or I would have rated it a 5.

You get a cheap price and you get a cheap product. The connecting wires were some alloy other than copper. When operating it for the 1st time it sounded like the gears were stripped. When operating under a load it strains alot, like it can hardly life the trailer..

Easy install, works great, price was right. As advertised. I have a heavy Toy Hauler and the jack goes up and down just like the ad said. The light works fine. When the truck is hitched it will raise my F250 to make attaching the load equalizer bars a breeze and that's a big PLUS!

Hardest part might be getting your old jack off. Once your bolts are off try twisting the old jack, then tap your old jack up from the bottom. Trying to pry it off puts uneven pressure on the tube making it difficult to raise up from the hole. This jack is supposed to fit a 2.25 diameter hole, but it's tight. I used a hand held drum grinder to polish the hole a bit to get the jack to drop in. You may have to use a mallet to get it to seat properly. I recommend you buy some new bolts as this unit says to use the old ones. I coat my bolts with a bit of grease to keep the holes from rusting. You'll also need to buy an 8 ga butt connector and 2- 8 ga ring terminals (probably 5/16) to hook up to your battery. Grab some zip ties to run the wires to your battery. The wiring was long enough to get me to my battery. Unit come with a 30A in line fuse (you install with butt connector) and a socket for manual operation. Mounting the unit sideways (so the motor faces the drivers side) gave me the clearance I needed to open my tailgate. Only problem now is, cranking my trailer up and down was the only exercise I got. Guess I'll have to join a gym.

Why did I wait so long to get this? 4000 lb may be a bit much but my trailer is heavy. I like the idea of the light but I don't usually hookup in the dark. This jack is slow going up and down but since I'm not the one cranking I'm good with the speed. Lots of torque, little speed, just a warning. The adjustable foot is nice too. Seams a little flimsy but I haven't bent it yet.

GOOD FOR THE MECHANICALLY MINDED

I was looking for a jack that had a small head as to allow me to open my tail gate. I mounted it 90 degree to the side and now have plenty of clearance. I cycled it prior to mounting and it was not smooth and was very loud. Following the instructions provided, I disassembled the complete assembly. I found it to have been poorly cleaned prior to assembly at mfg. After a thorough cleaning and proper greasing it then ran smooth and quiet. The kit does not include any terminals, connectors or shrink tube. My Keystone Cougar has a excessively heavy toung weight. Aprox 900lb empty. This Jack is now AWSOME! We have been out 4 times with it and it does not labor at all. I will be servicing it again at the end of the season since its so easy to do. At this point I have no regrets. Great Bang For My Bucks! Happy Camping!

Great upgrade

April 16, 2012
I had the 3500 lbs model, and for the 6 months I owned it there were numerous problems & defects. The manufacture (UF) sent me this model (4,000 lbs) as a replacement...No cost, and No questions asked (Thanks UF)!The 4000 is a much higher quality unit then the 3500 I had! The jack lifts & lowers rather quickly with little strain, and also very easy to install...I went to a local farm supply store and purchased grade-8 nuts & bolts for mounting.I did only rate it 4 stars because the foot pad diameter is too small and easily sinks into the ground. Also, the extending arm that raises & lowers the trailer does not operate smoothly. It kicks front to back about an inch, mimicking the movement of the internal screw mechanism. It has to be quality control &tolerance issues with the manufacturing. Keep in mind...Made in China!!!this jack is mounted on my dump-trailer, w/ 12K lbs capacity.

The jurys' out but customer service GREAT!

March 22, 2010
My jack failed after three seasons (probably about 200+ operations)...but when I had a problem, Ultra Fab service was GREAT. The jack has pleanty of power, even to assist in raising the truck rearend to install the equalizer bars ( about 1/2 of the operations). The jack I purchased from Camping World had no labels ( brand name or specs). When I called Camping World they offered no help except to call the manufacturer. When it was clear on the phone my problem might be more than the shear pin, Ultra Fab sent me a new replacement jack ( with all the labels and info) at no charge. I would buy Ultra Fab products again because they stand behind their products. As per the previous review, I believe their products are made in Elkhart, IN supplying jobs for American citizens...and I didn't even have to call China for customer service.

To All of my trailer owning friends get this jack, you will thank me later.

3500 electric jack

My first disapointment: I thought I was getting more by spending extra and getting the 3500 instead of the 3200. Wrong! According to the instructions the only difference is the tube diameter is 2 1/4" while the 3200 is 2", otherwise the lift capacity is identical. I wish the product description would reflect this. My second disapointment: The mounting holes were machined so poorly only one lined up. My third disapointment: The inline fuse was not connected and required soldering onto the power lead and soldering on a ring terminal for the battery connection. My fourth dissapointment: Compared to other power jacks I have heard it is very noisy. It does get the job done though and the lights illuminate nicely.
