I have friends who had the portable 50 amp one at the power post. Their electrical
problem was that the power cord shorted at the plug at the back of their coach, after the
Surge Guard. So they lost all their electrics and all their appliances blew up. Mine is
mounted at the back on the inside where the power comes in. So if anything happens
outside the coach, I have it covered. In RVs, things do happen. Accidents occur and
things break. Having this installed right inside the coach is worth the peace of mind.
And nobody can steal it in the middle of the night.

Installation was straight foward, no hidden issues. I read the instructions, scoped out a location, re-read the instructions and proceeded. It took me a little over an hour. We've used it with 50, 30 and 15 amp service with no problems. I like being able to see the lights, indicating all is well. With all the different camp grounds with different loads, I
feel a lot safer now.
