Very easy to install. Works great, same wattage as a portable heater without taking up floor space or worry about portable unit causing a fire.

We stayed the night in Burns, OR, the temp in the morning was 11 degrees. We kept the heat strip on all night and we were a cozy 58 degrees. Just right for sleeping. I would definitely recommend adding one. The only feature that would improve the heat strip would be a thermostatic control.

Not a direct drop-in replacement for older Briskair units (circa 1984) because the electrical connectors are different. Addressing that required disassembly of most of the interior of the A/C unit - not hard, just more time than I expected. You'll need a drill to make pilot holes in the sheetmetal to install the element, which I wasn't expecting either. Once installed, I was a little disappointed in the heating capacity of the unit. I guess that's why they say it will "take away the chill" and not "it will keep you warm". The kit does work however, and it does fit into the space provided, so I can't really complain.

Installed mine a year ago in my Duo Therm Brisk Air 13,500 btu unit. I can't praise it highly enough. Sure, in So. Calif. we don't get the winter extremes but when it's 29 degrees outside and I have to get up in the middle of the night in my new 22.5 ft Aljo trailer to shut it down (because it's too warm) , I have a smile of satisfaction on my face, knowing that the park is paying for my heating. And at $34.00 a night, they can afford it better than I can.

VERY EASY TO INSTALL, LESS THAN 30 MINUTES. HEATS MY 27' TRAILER TO ABOUT 72 DEGREES F IN ABOUT 3 HOURS. OUTSIDE TEMP WAS 28 DEGREES F. DOES NOT HAVE THERMOSTAT CONTROL SO THE BAD IS WHEN IT GETS TOO WARM INSIDE YOU HAVE TO TURN IT OFF. REALLY SAVES ON GAS.
