I've had a few bike racks. This one is really great for my needs - 2 adult bikes. The 4 points of contact to the bumper make for a secure connection. I use medium bungie cords to secure each end of the bikes, a ratchet strap around the middle connected to the bumper, and then another bungie connected around both bikes to the upright post. That way the bikes are secure and do not move. Every time I stop and check how they are riding, they are totally secure. Great bike rack for those with a 4 - 41/2 back bumper. Highly recommend.
