We have a 40' fifth wheel, although it has a hyd. leveling system we thought a King Pin Stabilizer would help. It does the job very easy to put up and take down. Stores easy and takes up very little space.

    Sometimes too high

This stabilizer is well made and easy to set up. One problem: occasionally, depending on the pitch of the site, it is too high to fit and can't be used. On a level site, it's almost too high to fit. Our pin box is at a normal height, nothing special there, so don't think that's the problem. Otherwise, when installed it really does the job.

This stabilizer is light weight and easy to handle. Made a big difference in the shakiness of our bedroom. In fact, it stopped the shaking. Easy to put up and easy to take down and store.

Aluminum Version is better -- Works well

Very pleased with my purchase. I'm glad I invested in the aluminum version of the King Pin Stabilizer versus the steel one that costs a little less. It's worth it: easier to carry, stow and set up since it weighs about half as much as the steel version -- and being aluminum, it obviously will not rust like steel would. Set up is simple and quick. And, as I hoped, it significantly improved the stability of our 5th wheel trailer while parked. It comes with a small padlock to secure the unit once it is installed, but that padlock is quite small and not very sturdy. I'm using a larger Master Lock that I already had. It fits just fine.

Now camping in our 35' fiver in Florida right on the beach. A cold front blew thru and we spent the night rocking from winds gusting 35-45 mph. The slide-out awnings were like sails! Drove up to the local Camping World store and bought the Aluminite King Pin Stabilizer, plus a set of slide-out stablizers. Installed them immediately with the wind still howling. Made a HUGE improvement in the trailer's stability. Why did I wait so long to buy these??

I was happy with this it did the trick to fix the wobble up front on my fifth wheel. however the screw portion was almost on it's last thread and I had to buy the theextension to make sure that it would have enough height to have a few more threads on it in the jack. I would recommend buying the extensions at the same time to save another delivery.

The stabilizer works very well. There is one problem and that's concerning the feet, the pins that hold the feet to the legs there are of poor quality. The safety springs do not hold and when positioning the stabilizer in place the tend to fall off.

We used this the first time we took out our new fifth wheel and we did not notice much movement in the bedroom area at all. It's also nice and light so it doesn't add a lot of extra weight in the pass thru area.

    Works but cheaply made

This stabilizer works as advertised and is easy to set up. The pin clips that retain the pins that hold the feet on are cheap beyond belief (one was broken out of the box), but they can easily be replaced at any hardware store. The rest of the device looks like it should hold up fine.

I like this item, once you figure out the best way to wrangle the legs into place using the chain, you are set. Just turn the cup with the convient handles until the unit is as high (stable) as you want it to be. Add the lock and you are done. Breakdown and storage is a snap.

I just received this today, just 2 days after ordering it. Talk about fast. I had borrowed a king pin stabilizer from a friend and knew I had to get one. This one is great it really takes the movement out of my camper and it is alot lighter than most. I would recommend anyone w/ a 5th wheeler to get this king pin stabilizer.

    King Pin Stabilizer is great

The king pin stabilizer does exactly what it says. It's very easy to assemble and sets up in seconds. The stabilizer takes out most of the movement from front to back and side to side. The unit can also be used to lock the king pin, however the padlock that comes with the unit is very cheap.

Had the item about 30 days and went to remove stabilizer and the large bolt through which the stabilizer adjusts broke. Called Camping World and was referred to the manufacturer for warranty. Called Ultra Fab and left msg. Hopefully they send out a replacement part and it was just an isolated case.

Where I'm situated, there are gusts up to 70 mph and my Carriage Cameo would rock because the wind hits her broadside. I bought this hoping to stabilize the front end. It has exceeded my expectations. It is very lightweight and easy to install. I have it on gravel and have not had a problem. Well worth the investment.

I'm hesitant about an alumilite King Pin Stabilizer as the Tech Description did not give any tongue weight for this product. the other products offered are made of steel, however the downside is the weight of packing. This product, Alumilite, is 17.67 lbs. This is a plus compared to the steel versions.
