I purchased this step and used it 7 days. The rubber tips are no good, however, I contacted Mr Bob Brammer, owner of the company that made this steps, by email on 10/12/09 about the bad tips. He called me within 12 hours of my email and sent me replacement tips at NO CHARGE. The company stands behind it's product. I would do business with them and buy their product again. You could not have asked for a quicker or nicer reply from anyone.

poor quality leg/feet

this step is stable, but the rubber feet are of very poor quality. the very first time we used the step one of the legs pushed/cut through the rubber foot. the second trip out, two more of the legs pushed/cut through the rubber feet....and the third trip out, the 4th leg pushed through the rubber foot. tried to to fix, but nothing we tried worked to keep the rubber gripper feet in tact. would have taken the step back, but threw out the CW reciept. trying to find someone to see if we can weld pads onto the legs/feet of the step. very frustrating

i would give this step 5 stars if it wasn't for the rubber feet, they fall off and eventually with all the weight being put on them, they fall apart, i love the light weight and ease of handling.

the step is of very good quality, sturdy and no slip treds. in keeping with such a quality product, why doesn't the mfg. redesign the rubber feet and replace the bad ones at no charge?

We have had the step for around 4 years now and find it very helpful at times. The only problem was with the rubber feet falling apart and we fixed ours by wraping plastic tie wraps around them. They have worked to keep the feet on and we used the black ones so they are barely noticeable.

I have had this step now for 6 months. It has been on the ground for 6 rallies and some time on my driveway while we get into and out of the trailer. I have trimmed the length of the legs to make the step 7" high which makes all my steps 7" each. Easy adjustment with a grinder or a hacksaw The downfall is the poor design of the rubber feet that have already broke out the back side. Frustrating because other than the feet, the step is lightweight and very sturdy. I'm glad to hear that they can be purchased.

I called Stromberg- Carlson using the number shown on the steps. The tips are available, in sets of four, cost $8.95 a set. You can order from the person answering the customer service phone. I wish the step heights were 2" & 6", instead of 2" & 8". The way the legs are held in position looks a little flimsy.

We had a different one for a long time. My wife found it heavy and hard to carry around. We thought we would try this one and we like it. It is light weight, durable and you don't slip on it when it is raining. It folds up pretty nice for easy storage. We do camp in some rocky and rough areas and have had no problems at all.

I purchased this step 5 weeks ago and my leg tips have already split and fell apart. In asking around I am finding this is a common problem with this step. The leg mechanism is also sticking. When I returned this step I found out it was an asian import. Where are the US made products ??

Absolutely the best folding step on the market. Sturdy, well built, good non-skid foot surface, and leg's fold up securely. If it sold for half what it's selling for and actually worth, I'd buy 2 more of'em.

I got one of these steps for Christmas and really think it will be an improvement over the plastic exercise steps I was using before. I read that many are concerened about being able to replace the rubber feet. I contacted the mfg. at www.strombergcarlson.com and they assured me I could get replacement feet from them.

I love this step. A little pricey, but I bought it on sale, liked it so much I wondered why I waited so long. We have along legged 5th wheel, was using a wooden step I made years ago. It was heavy, awkward to stow, not adjustable. Looking at the different steps out there, saw this one, was impressed by how rugged and light weight it was. I waited for a sale, got it and its great. It has surpass my expectations. This is very easy to stow, it is adjustable, light weight and solid. When I bought mine they offered extra rubber tips I bought a spare set. After two years the rubber tips on my step shows no sign of wear.

I love this step. It works perfectly to make it easier to get in my RV. I do have the rubber tip problem, however. Mine have disintegrated too. I called Camping World and they are going to see about having replacement tips sent.
