we put this on the top of our pop-up trailer because we were not sure how to mount the full Tule or Yakima rack system. Done a few trips with it holding both the kids bikes and our "nice" road bikes. Not real comfortable with our road bikes on there, but to be fair have had no mishaps... just look a bit wobbley in the rear-view. Great middle of the road (so to speak) system that will hold us over till we decide on how to have solid cross bars on the trailer roof. BTW: well built, but not very friendly directions... need a fair bit of common mechanical sense putting the pieces together initially.
