Two-stage furnaces with separate gas combustion and blower areas are designed to conserve fuel and reduce noise.
Just set the temperature, turn the thermostat on Automatic and let the furnace take over. During cold start-ups, the furnace operates on high BTU, high fan for quick, quiet warm–up. Once a comfortable temperature is reached, the furnace automatically switches to low BTU, low fan to maintain the level of comfort you want. Built-in self-diagnostics—a flashing LED indicates low or improper voltage input, ignition failure, open limit switch, stuck air proving switch and/or module failure. No carbon build-up maintenance required. Up-front controls are easy to service without removing the furnace. Aluminized steel chambers are rust resistant. Rubber gas line seal for safety. LP gas and 12-volt electronic ignition. Access doors and thermostats sold separately. No special installation requirements--easily replaces Atwood 8500 Series models.
