The first time I used them, the plastic loop broke when the velcro was pulled.

Poor quality on the product. Right out of the box one of the knobs spun right off in my hand the first time I used it (and no it was not over tightened, it barely had any resistance). The other one broke at the flimsy plastic clip that joins the strap. 5 stars to Camping World for taking them back no questions asked.

We have used them for years and they are great. We love camping at the beach and there is always wind at the beach. Don't pull them to tight because we stretched our awning. We have a 21 ft awning use the De-Flapper MAX and secure our awning in the center and we are good.

We have had a set of these de-flappers for a couple of years and love them. They are easy to attach (with velcro straps), stay in place, and hold up well with regular use. We have a 16 foot awning on our trailer and use them all the time. On only one occasion when it was extremely windy did I wish I had a second set to use. Very happy with the purchase.

as a whole they do hold the awning better then nothing , but they only catch is had one of the nylon straps that hold the flapper to the awning brace tare right at the velcro area all the way across! This made the flapper unusable, did try and contact the company which made the De-Flapper never got an answer back!! Did use a standard small tie down strap with a clip to take the place of the standard strap , which it now works Ok , but for only 12 times of use think it should have lasted longer then that!

We purchased a set of these and found that the vecro strap on them were not long enough to use them. We ended up replacing straps with some we bought at hardware store. A couple of times the awning has slipped out of the grips also. Thank You.
