We bought these because the RV we bought was older as was the awning, and the first season, there was a wind storm that just about ripped the awning off. Now, we never worry about rolling the awning back up at all. When we open up for the season, we put on the De Flapper Max's on each side - 1 pair per side, and never roll up the awning until the end of the season, and we haven't had any problems since. We've survived two tornado warnings with 50 mph winds going through the area and some severe thunderstorms with no problems. We do usually drop the awning, when possible, but we NEVER roll it up anymore. No flapping of the awning at all. We do also use a bungie cord and a tent stake to hold the awning down at all times as well.

What a difference these have made with our awning. We recently were out and had them on and when a storm came with low winds we did not even take the awning down and we could not feel the awning flapping any more. Have purchased a small set to add to them up higher to help out.

Being new to camping, a friend suggested these deflappers. I bought 2 sets for added security. They work great! Used by the beach where there's always a breeze (or more) and no issues at all! Great price for a great item!

Bought the De-Flapper Max for use with my older awning and they worked great. On our last camping trip went through a heavy rain storm with high winds and the de-flappers performed beyound expectations. I recommend these to protect you awning and keep the fabric taunt in windy conditions.

First time attaching took a couple of minutes to figure out how the velcro strap worked, then attached it and it worked great. Awning was very sequre. Just don't unscrew the handle too far or the nut falls off, I will add a second nut to eliminate this happening. In conclusion I am very pleased with it.

These are priced reasonably and shipping was fast. They are easily installed and appear to hold well. The only negative point I can find is the black straps. They faded to a fairly light brown in about 5 days in the sun. They sort of stand out with a black clamp and dark blue awning.. Colorful I guess.

I bought these as a replacement for the Awning Buddy. These are well worth the extra $4-5. They have rubber inserts that clamp safely on the awning tarp. There is a full size knob to tighten them down. Very easy to install and remove.Very good product!

The pair installed easily. A little hard to get to tightening the Velcro if your awning ground surface has a bit of a slope away, but an inverted bucket solved that.
