I use 2 sets of these De-Flappers plus one set of larger De-Flappers in 1-15 mph winds in central Florida. Been using them with Carefree awing for 5 years. No problems.

Good Idea, but falls short

The straps were too short for my awning. I emailed Camco and got an answer after 3 weeks. Their answer was to buy another set of straps! That came to another $11. with shipping. It was easier to just return them. And get something that works out of the box...Now I do not know if the product works well because I never got that far! I just got something more expensive and in the long run it wasn't more expensive!

The straps are too short!

This looks to be a great product, well thought-out and of good quality manufacture. But, the straps are too short, at least for my Carefree of Colorado awning installed 19 years ago by the dealer when the motorhome was new. I can't install these things, and need perhaps another 3 inches on the straps. Maybe the guy who did the awning installation was an idiot and placed the brackets a bit too far apart. Maybe (and most likely) the awning material has shrunk over the years. The replacement straps being sold are the same 12.
