Junk Chair

Same experience as other reviewers -- these chairs are very poorly built. Ordered one about two years ago -- it lasted through maybe a half-dozen outings before the plastic junction block where the legs cross broke. Figured maybe I just got a bad one, so I ordered another. It lasted three outings before the same piece broke. I weigh less than 200 lbs. so it's not being overloaded, given it's 350 lb. rating (which has to be pure fiction.) Given the cost of these chairs, especially with the steep shipping charge, I won't be making the same mistake again.

We purchased these chairs last year and we had the same problem with the piviot point under the front corner of the fabric cracking. These chairs boast a 350 pound weight limit. I got them because I thought that they would last longer than the cheaper ones. I was wrong. the first time we pulled them out this year it cracked, I am sure it is just a matter of time before the other one goes. The chair is really comfortable if it does not break. Buyer beware, the weight limit may be decieving.

Two years ago my wife and I bought two Big Boy Chairs. They were used only one camping season and both chairs failed wher the legs co through a pivot block which cracked and failed. I am 200# and my wife is 125#. This is well within the ADVERTISED load limit of this unit. Having said this I will allow that they are quite comfortable when usable.

Bought 1 chair and it started tearing apart at the top of the rear poles where the rubbery part is. Exchanged it for a new one, and it did the same thing. It states that it safely supports 350 lbs. and I was about 315-320 at the time which is why I bought this model. I found it to be very comfortable while in use though. I have tried a couple of do-it-yourself repairs to stop the rubbery area from tearing with no viable solution. I kept the chair and bought a really nice heavy canvas one for me and use this one for lighter guests for now. I give this chair 2 stars for it's comfort but none for it's durability.
