Description

KRUPP BILSTEIN OF AMERICA 4536
Improve your RV’s handling control and overall drive without sacrificing comfort or quality.
Built to last, the shock’s patented monotube design allows rising heat to escape unlike conventional dual-tube shocks that keep heat trapped inside, which may result in shock fade and failure. These reliable shocks keep tires in constant contact with the road, helping to enhance driving control and ensure safety, and also react more quickly to changing road conditions. Bilstein’s gas pressure shocks are engineered to withstand maximum loads, provide high durability and offer a smooth, comfortable ride.

Why Bilstein Shocks are Better:
  • Seamless monotube design for superior tube strength, maximum heat dissipation and longer shock life
  • Rising rate damping reacts more quickly to changing road conditions than conventional shocks, so ride stays smooth without harsh rebounding
  • High pressure nitrogen gas keeps constant pressure on the internal oil column, so tires stay in contact with the road surface, enhancing control and safety
  • Shocks maintain dumping ability as heat rises with “floating” dividing piston that lets oil expand to virtually eliminate foaming and viscosity loss
  • Features hard chromed piston rod, one-piece alloy rod guide and superior seal design, with no check valves or springs to wear out
  • Mfr. lifetime warranty

Bilstein Gas Pressure Shocks are available for most RVs and tow vehicles. If you don’t see your vehicle listed, call 1.877.273.8993 for information. Shocks sold individually.

Put a full set of Bilstein on a Roadtrek Chev 1 ton 190 versetile in1999 and not a problem since. Much improved handling, well worth the price. Test drove a new Roadtrek without them, and I am spoiled for life with my old Roadtrek. Yeah for Bilstein!!! I now have 94000 miles on them!

We put a set on our 1998 Winnebago Chieftain over 10 years ago and they were great. I was going to put a set on our new 2008 Winnie Sightseer, but the first owner already did it!

We installed Bilstein shocks on our 2005 Four Winds Chateau 31z (Ford E450) at 30k miles. The ride and handling improvements are amazing. This upgrade is worth every penny.

MY 6 MONTH OLD MONACO 36 FT DIESEL WITH THE 4 BAG AIR SUSPENSION HANDELED LIKE A TOP HEAVY CABIN CRUSER IN A FOLLOWING SEA. WHEN I ADDED THE 4 BILSTEINS THE SWAY BOB AND WEAVE AND 4 TO 5 BOUNCES AFTER HITTING A BUMP WERE VIRTUALLY ELIMINATED. CROSS WINDS HAVE SOME EFFECT BUT NO LONGER SWAYS AND ROLLS.THEY SHOULD BE STANDARD EQUIPMENT FROM THE FACTORY. DID NOT MAKE THE RIDE STIFF OR HARSH. ---- OEM SHOCKS ARE TOTALLY WORTHLESS BUT COULD BE USED AS AN ANCHOR FOR A SMALL JOHNBOAT.

    Incredible handling

Switched out the front and shocks from my 1980 Dodge Class C and I couldn't believe the difference. The comfort remained very good, although the ride was noticeably firmer, but the handling was transformed. OK, I won't be going racing in it any time soon but it is so much easier to drive. It doesn't wallow and change direction over every bump in the road so I don't spend the whole journey correcting the steering. Excellent shocks, I have had them on for more 20,000 miles over 3years and they still work and look like new.

    Bilsteins are the best!

My experience with these shocks on 6 different vehicles over the past 21 years has been exceptional. Don't even consider the other, low or no pressure shock designs. You won't be nearly as satisfied with the ride, handling or longevity.

Had a new set of Bilstein shocks installed on my 1999 Jayco 28' class C. I'm no longer leaning in the wind and white knuckle driving with gusts and passing trucks. My wife has commented that she loves the No more rock & roll and agrees with me that it handles better than when it was new. Wish I would have replaced them sooner. Really enjoying driving my motorhome now. I did not belive it would make that much of a difference but was plesantly surprised.

We purchased the Bilsteins for our 1985 34' Pace Arrow this year and it was one of the absolute best things we have done for the motorhome. We are now looking to purchase them for our Blazer. They make a 110 percent difference. So glad we finally made this purchase. They are well worth the extra money. Now my bad back is not so achey when we arrive at our destination. Thank heavens for Bilstein.

We purchased our 2001 Rexhall Aerbus with 16500 miles in Tucson Arizona, this is our first motorhome we thought the ride was good. Our friends went on a trip with us to show them how good it rode. They said we just put these new shocks on and what a difference, well we went back and picked up his motorhome and wow what a difference. The next day we went and replaced our shocks with these and yes it does take the "shock" out of driving and makes your trips that much more enjoyable worth every penny and then some

I bought a New 32' Jayco this year. Found it to be a real pain to drive on the first trip. Really thought about selling it when we arrived home. Took a trip to the Wheatridge, CO. C.W. and talked with someone in the performance center. They told me I should change the shocks. I trusted them and let me tell you, the motorhome is no longer for sale! Wonderful ride and handling. Dropped the interior noise down so much it was just amazing. Handles like a car now and I highly recommend anyone who owns a new or used class C to buy this simple upgrade! Thank you C.W.

I almost rolled my class C motorhome on a curve on the W.V. Turnpike due to speed and the soft suspension. I had Camping World in Brunswick Ohio to put on new Billstein shocks and the unit went from a cream puff to ROCK SOLID and the curve on the Turnpike is not a problem anymore.. Thank You Camping World.

I installed the Bilstein shocks myself. Front shocks were a real pain due to limited clearance at top mount preventing use of rachet. Rear shocks were much easier requiring 1/4 the time and effort. Used bottle jack to compress front shock and racheting cargo strap to compress rear shock to get shocks on lower mounting studs. These shocks cannot be compressed by hand like the OEM's! Resulting ride and handling was fantasic improvement. Should have done it the first week I owned the motorhome. Wonder why Ford or Winnebago didn't include them as OEM!!

    Superior handling

I added these with AirLift on the rear and SteerSafe on a 1995 Winnebago Brave - Ford Chassis. The combination made the coach ride and handle better than new. Good, firm control over bumpy highways especially in curves. Bilsteins eliminated the bounce in the front end. Makes for a more relaxing journey. Highly recommend the total package currently around $,1000 completely installed in a half day at Camping World (Rogers, MN store) Best value for the buck in my experience to date.

    Best shock ever

All Ford F-53 super duty chassis owners. Pay attention. If your ford rocks and rolls and has a bad rear end sway you better get these shocks. I took the stock shocks off my 2002 Ford A chassis, and was shocked to find that they were so poor on quality, you could pull them up or oush them down with no trouble. Try that with this shock. When the new shock was installed, the test drive showed vast improvement. These shocks live up to there reputation. Add the steer safe system also and you will have a coach that handles like a car
