Bought the 8.6 inch version about a year ago. It is supposed to support up to 300 pounds, but the top is now cracking in multiple places although no more than 200 pounds has ever been on the stool. It worked well as a first step when the trailer's first step was too high due to slope of site, but it did not last long enough for me.

This stool folds perfecttly and compactly. When in use it is stable and the perfect size (for a potty-training kiddo or for hard-to reach items). Great price for great quality.

This step, 8 inch version, is great. very sturdy. we have used the 8 inch version for a couple years now and no issues. As long as it is the one made in the USA. The 12.6 inch version is made in China junk. DONT buy the made in China version, you will be sorry at best, or hurt at worst.
