This filter definitely filters out the sediment and makes our under sink and PUR filters last a lot longer. Setup was easy, following the instructions enclosed. Just don't over-torque the plastic connectors and there should be no problems. The included hose could stand to be about two feet longer, though.

The filter and housing is the same one of five like filters and housing we have in our soft water system and after 10 years of use and a filter change each year, its been great and not once gave us any problems.

Nice set up for what I needed. The outlet plastic hose nipple seemed to fit a little loose even after wrapping 5-6 times with teflon tape. In my attempt to snug it tightly I broke the threaded part off. I called Camco and they were nice enough to send me a new one, no charge. I wrapped that one with 10 wraps of teflon and it seems okay but was still loose enough to be turned all the way into the outlet. The only other suggestion I have is that the short hose be extended to a 2' hose. This one is way too short for some applications and I had to add a 10 extender to make the bend.

After having a number of water filters I thought of trying this one. The Camco name was part of the reason and reading what all they remove from the water was the rest of it. I'm glad I bought this one it not only filters the water great but also softens it also.I would recomend this over some of the others..
