My Favorite Insurance Company - June 19, 2009

On Saturday, December 23, 2007, approximately 2:00 pm, on I40 heading west toward Oklahoma in western Arkansas, my 2003 Ford Excursion broke a rocker arm and it lost one of the cylinders while pulling our 34 foot Keystone Cougar travel trailer. Me, my wife, and three children got to an exit and called the Road Care number on the card. Our truck was on the wrecker and the camper was hitched to the wrecker in 45 minutes from the call. We were then taken to a camp ground and set up with in the next 30 minutes. We had someone pick us up that night and take us home leaving our camper and truck at the campground. With one phone call on December 26th the wrecker picked up the excursion, at the camp ground, and towed it to a Ford dealer. The personnel on the phone were professional and called me back two or three times to verify that the wrecker arrived and we were set up at the camp ground. Have had this insurance for 4 years now and will not leave home with out it. We also refer it to family and friends that have campers/rv's. The wrecker service and camp ground that took care of us were professional and polite.

    Stress Free - March 20, 2009

We have had this road care service for 5 years and it has saved us on two separate occasions. It is nice to know that when things can go wrong, and you are very far from home, help is a phone call away. I would recommend to any RV traveler and especially beginners.

    Broke down on I-75 - February 24, 2009

I was traveling on I-75 a few weeks ago in florida headed south. I experienced a blowout of my rear tire. I placed a call to Road Care needing a flat tire on my motor-home changed and I had a spare available. I was on hold for over 55 minutes on a Sunday afternoon Feb 8 2009 during a period of 3 phone calls and return phone calls regarding this situation. They finally located me after providing the mile marker information for the second time. When they called back, I mentioned a second time that this was a Motor-home Class A and had large 19.5 inch tires (TRUCK TIRE). After waiting a full 1 hour and 7 minutes a tow truck arrived carrying a service van with inappropriate tools or knowledge of handling a motor-home. The individual that came out to provide the service was ready to handle a car/pickup truck not a motor-home. After 3 hours and a phone call back to ROADCARE telling them of the situation for a total of 4 ½ hours of our time out of our trip. In order to get this accomplished, my husband had to help, luckily he is a retired truck driver and was able to assist the service provider to perform the job. When I called back to ROADCARE they asked me after all this time if I wanted to wait on I-75 for another service truck, I stated not after all this time and I would send a letter regarding my concerns. We went down the road to the camp-ground which was 22 miles at a slow speed and not correctly torqued tires. After several phone calls on Monday to local tire dealers, we located one that could come up the road on Tuesday morning with a service truck containing the proper equipment to do the job. Due to the poor service we received from the ROADCARE it cost us additional monies out of our pocket. We were very dis-satisfied with the service received from ROADCARE.
