First I gave it 4 stars because it uses more gas than it advertises. It does run really good, it charges my two batteries on my toy hauler, it will make my coffee in the morning, and it runs the convection oven, not at the same time how ever. I ran the fan in my trailer, and radio with this gen running just to see how long a tank would last, gave me about 2hrs run time.....not sure if that is good or not, I think that it was using more than 50% power......it is only a gal or so tank....great back up generator to the one that is already on my trailer.....

We wanted a generator for emergency use and after looking into the subject I began to realize that these things can drink a lot of gas in a few days. A steady gas supply may be hard to come by in an emergency, look at the gas problems back east after hurricane Sandy. Accordingly I picked this one on the concept that in an emergency everything doesn't have to run all at once. It will run the Refrigerator and some other small stuff, or the Clothes Washer by itself. Refrigerators stay cold for quite a while so it doesn't need to be running all the time. Although it was back ordered it arrived sooner than expected, which is nice. I called Camping World and they were able to give me an idea roughly when I could get delivery, I'm not sure why they don't post that on the website. I installed the feet and put in gas and oil. BTW, the it has a gas gauge that says it's empty when it's about 1/4 tank. No doubt that's because of the shallow flat tank and may be typical of portable generators. I'd still rather have the gauge than not. It started in a couple pulls and ran nice. After letting it warm up for a few minutes I plugged in 1 and then 2 500 watt flood lights to test it. Each time it revved up a little and carried the load nicely. I wasn't sure what 65bd sounds like. It sounds like a somewhat quiet lawn mower at high idle. Even putting out near max capacity of 1,000 watts it was only revving a tiny bit faster. Our gardeners are quite a bit noisier since they are revving higher. It seems to be a pretty well made unit and I expect it will serve well if we ever need it.
