The Champion Power Equipment gasoline powered portable generator is powered by a 196cc Champion single cylinder, 4-stroke OHV engine that produces 3500 running watts and 4000 starting watts. With a 4 gal. fuel tank this unit can run up to 12 hours at 50% load. Our OHV engine is equipped with a low oil shut-off sensor and designed for long life and easy maintenance. This unit is ideal for RV's, camping trips, hunting, traveling, jobs around the house, or home back-up power during emergencies.

I bought this generator as an emergency backup for my boat in the marina here in San Diego. We lost power in this area several months ago and I don't want to get caught without power in case it happens again. I took the unit out of the box, read the instruction book, filled the oil crankcase, poured some gas in the tank, pulled the starter cord 3 times and it started right up. It starts on the first crank every time since then. It's really not too loud and for price, it's hard to beat. Tested it with a hair dryer, a room heater, and a TV....no problem at all. A nice feature is that I can plug my shore power cord directly into it without having to use an adapter. I'm very happy with this generator and have told several friends about it.
