An Impressive Grill

I bought my fist Road Trip Grill in 2002 when I was in Florida working temporarily in that area. I used it on my patio at my apartment there. When I bought my motor home, to live in while I was working at various projects, it was perfect for limited storage. I am now out in Texas and I have just purchased my second one. The first one was used heavily (Almost daily) and lasted a mere eight years, and actually is still useable. That amortizes out to about $25.00 a year. For me, it was a no brainer to purchase the identical grill. The only minor negative is the water pan. It can be kind of messy, but then I have never had a grill, large or small, that wasn't messy.

Great Grill

We bought this grill a year ago, and I have only found one drawback to the decision. Since we bought the stove grate, an extra grill and griddle, my wife has decided that ALL cooking can be done outside (except baking). That doesn't sound so bad, since it keeps the "cooking smells" out of the trailer, but I had agreed long ago that I would do the outside cooking! This grill is going constantly when we camp, which is almost every weekend in the spring, summer and fall. Cleanup is very easy with the water basin catching all the drippings. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but will soon buy the hose and connector to hook it up to my 30lb propane bottle instead of using the little 1 pounders. I don't think you can go wrong with this grill for ease of use and cleanup, and it stores easily in our trailer with limited storage space.

Worst grill ever

This grill is the worst grill I have ever owned. If I knew it was manufactured in China I would have never bought this grill. Craftsmanship is poor at best. Metal used for this grill will not last and the hardware used is pop rivets and will not last. The grill and griddle is supposed to be none stick but everything I have cooked so far has stuck to them. Since you can not use a metal brush on the grill and griddle cleaning them is a timely process. I would not recommend this grill to anyone because it is over priced for what you get.

We've had this grill for over a year now & we use it all the time as full timers. Love it. Clean-up is easier when you add a little water in the pan before cooking. Spare parts ( like a new pan or burner) can be ordered online to keep this thing in tip top shape.

We are into our second year with this amazing unit. We have the cover, the extra grill, the stove grate and just love everything about it. It cleans up so nicely that each time we go to use it the normal comments from others around us is "Are you sure you want to get it dirty? It's brand new!" Beautiful way to cook all our meals.

Used our new RoadTrip grill last weekend and was extremely impressed. Unlike most of the small portable gas grills we've had in the past it has excellent heat control as well as zero flareups. A quality built unit, nothing "tinny". Folding table is a real backsaver, no more bending over to cook on the ground. The teflon cooking surfaces keep sticking to a minimum and clean up very well. Even if you're not an experienced griller it would be tough to goof up food on this one. Bought the additional grill insert as there's just enough space on one side for a couple average steaks. About the only drawback is the water filled pan being a little messy but can get used to it.

We just bought this grill. Easy to assemble. Cooks great and is very easy to clean. We purchased the extra grill and griddle so we can grill more food for our family and friends. We would recommend the cover which is made of a very good quality material. This grill is great for home, rving and tailgaiting. It travels anywhere you go.

My wife and I have had a lot of grills in 20 years, but this has to be the BEST ONE YET for camping. The clean up is fast with the water in the pan beneath the grill collecting the grease. We love it! I am ordering one right now for my brother who is a workamper at Hershey High Meadow campground in Hershey, PA in the summer times. Again this is the BEST GRILL!!!
