    Nice Grill

I read all of the comments about the different grills and decided to go with this one. We are not disapointed! We did burgers, hotdogs and a full breakfast and did not have any problems. By placing water in the pan it really helps with grease flare-ups (was not a problem) and makes it much eaiser to clean. We also bought an extra griddle and extra grill which you need if you are feeding a large group. We also got the rolling storage bag which I would recommend to anyone because it keeps everything together and is very sturdy. I would recommend this grill to anyone who wants a mobile outdoor grill!

    So Far So Good!!

Just purchased the grill and have only used it a couple times. I purchased the grill to use at home and when we go to Texas this winter. It was easy to clean up, we put water in the bottom of the grill as recommended and the clean up was less than 5 min. I have used several different grills and so far this has got to be one of the better ones.

Well, I envied this grill at the beginning of the summer when I saw a pal using it outside his travel trailer. I just had to get it and am SOOO glad I did. Per his recommendation, I order another griddle, grate and grill piece so I would have two of everything. I used to cook on a coleman camp stove and a smokey-joe grill, now only the Roadtrip is needed. We are so happy, I just wish we have bought it years ago!

Nice, attractive grill; cooks good; easy to clean

Bought this grill to carry in the basement of our new Class A motorhome. It's very attractive and does a good job of cooking. The teflon grill surfaces are very good about not sticking to the cooked food and extremely easy to clean up. Coleman recommends pouring water into the bottom of the unit to make it easy to clean, but even without that it's no problem wiping out any drips and spills. There are two burners; one side has a grill, the other a griddle; each is easily replaceable. My only complaint is that it would be nice if they included a second grill for when you need to grill for a crowd. Buying one is an additional $35 or so, and if you want a grate to heat a skillet or saucepan over, that's an additional $16 or so. Overall, very happy with this purchase.

I have had the Coleman Road Trip for nearly 10 years. This grill gets used during all seasons and in all sorts of conditions. The grill is starting to look a little rough after all the years of use but it just keeps working! The grill will not die, it starts EVERY time with one push of the ignitor. I would recomend this grill to anyone. The durability, performance, and available accessories make it a great buy.

This BBQ has been great and I paid probably twice the price when it first came out.I had this one for 5 years and the lid lock broke, Coleman sent me a new right away. Parts are easily obtained from Coleman.

This grill is nothing but a coleman stove with grates on the top. It has host spots, is hard to clean, and is hard to light. Worst purchase I have made. I am going to replace it with a Weber Q grill.

We used the Coleman Roadtrip Grill (the blue one) all season in 2010. The unit came with one aluminum Grill Grate and a Griddle Grate. We read reviews at numerous websites and decided to buy one cast iron grill grate and compare the two. We read the cast iron was much heavier, thus it would hold heat longer and grill evenly across the entire grate. We read the aluminum was easier to clean and lighter. The first weekend we had the grill we grilled four dinners, two breakfasts, and three lunches on the grill. We made steaks, burgers, ribs, bacon, breakfast sausage, bratwursts, chicken breasts on the bone. We grill 2-3 nights a week at home, so I'd say we're grill'n people! Ultimately we didn't see any difference between the aluminum and the cast iron until it was time to clean the grates between meals. Both held heat evenly across the entire grate and the reviews were right....The cast iron is HEAVY! When it came time to clean the grates we were able to rub the grease off of the aluminum grate with paper towels - even the barbeque sauces and sugar bases marinades came off. The cast Iron Grate seamed to bake on the sauces which made removal with paper towels impossible. I had to take it into the camper and scrub with a screen scratch pad to remove debris. Not my idea of fun! Maybe the cast iron grate was hotter so the stuff baked on, but not hot enough to notice a difference when we evenly split food across both grates to test them evenly. We'll be buying another aluminum grate! Last note: Using Pam Spray in the drop pan before beginning to grill, instead of water, made the clean up process very easy. Bring plenty of paper towels! Needless to say every weekend we used the grill we ran into the same cleaning problems. We purchased another aluminum grate through the Coleman website since camping world doesn't offer it. We gave 4/5 stars due to the uneasiness of hanging any brand of tools on it and the side tables being a little small.
