Works OK for Our Needs

Install went pretty fast. Had one leak which was easy to fix. Just keep an eye on it for a while after the system is flushed of air and under pressure. The other posts about low pressure were correct. The 12 volt pump system in an RV is not sufficient to provide a good flow through the filter. However, the water that does come out is good and the filter eliminated the plastic taste and smell from the water that almost all RV water systems seem to have. For a glass or water or a pot of coffee it is fine. When I hook up to a city water supply I would expect to get a little better flow. It appears that it will meet our needs.

bought a new travel trailer and this was the first accessory i purchased. i was going to have the dealer install but he wanted almost 3X cost of the kit to install!! after reading the instructions online i decided to install myself and I am impressed with how easy it was. the filter does its job although it did not completely remove the plastic like taste, however, its a new trailer so i didnt expect it would. this kit should be every trailer owner's mandatory accessory if you dry camp.

We wanted safe and chlorine taste free water for drinking, cooking, tea and coffee without wasting filters on filtering all our washing up and showering water. The install was easy and neat.

Installation is a breeze. Like that it filters my water. Only thing that is a drawback is that the flow is kind of slow. But I still would buy it again.

Water Filter System

We often camp at a nearby lake where the city water tastes bad. We would purchase bottled water for drinking and food preparation. Have not used any bottled water since we installed this unit. It takes all the bad taste out of the water. Although I have not changed the filter, it should be a very simple twist off and on procedure. There is a noticeable reduction in water pressure coming through this unit but that is not a significant problem.

Won't Leave Home Without It!

Once you have this system in your RV you'll wonder how you survived without it! I installed one in a newer travel trailer (2007 model year) which has always had objectionable tastes present in the water. These tastes were caused by the fresh water tank and 98% of the plumbing system being plastic, sanitizing of the water system using diluted beach or other chemicals, and some RV parks with high mineral and sulfur content in the water. This Culligan system looks beautiful, works great, and it has completely eliminated ALL tastes in our drinking and cooking water. With the proper tools, installation was a snap. The most obvious installation consideration is if your RV sink lacks an appropriate mounting hole, you'll need to drill one yourself. I had to do this through a fiberglass sink and wooden counter-top. No problem. I've read reviews elsewhere which complain about low the water flow from is this particular filter system. We have a similar water filter system made by GE in our home, and trust me it's no different. These systems are not designed for high flow. The flow is quite adequate for the intended purpose: filling up a glass of water, a coffee pot, or a cooking pan. Be realistic... you won't be taking a shower under this faucet!
