I purchased the 211z to replace a 211k as this unit is smaller. It works great and was easy to set up.

Signal output/s

Receiver works fine with FLEX cube antenna. But unlike the previous model 211k, the 211z DOES NOT have a 75ohm coax signal output. If your coach internal wiring has the typical 75ohm coax distribution box, you will need to purchase an RF Converter and AV cables to route the TV OUT signal within your coach. If you can position the 211z receiver within an HDMI cable length of your TV, you're in luck.

Does the job

This is our first foray into DISH and as RVers we appreciate the fact that we can use it a month at a time with no contract. This receiver works fine too but we would have preferred one that is a DVR. That is not possible with the monthly service. As Direct TV customers we much prefer its ease of use to the convoluted things we have to do with DISH for set up and just keeping the program guide updated. But, we are glad to have the flexibility.

Easy Set-up

As has been posted by others, the receiver was fairly easy to set-up. I misunderstood the dialogue that was displayed on the screen during the set-up process and unnecessarily restarted the install process. I contacted the Dish help number and they were very friendly and helpful in assisting me in completing the install process and setting up our account. This is my first exposure to satellite TV. My only complaint is that it is difficult to get a signal in most of the RV parks we have stayed in since installing the receiver due to trees blocking the signal to our roof-top mounted antenna on our MH. It looks like the best solution might be to have one of the portable antennas on a stand so we can locate it where the satellite signal isn't blocked or stop staying in RV parks with trees. As a result of experiencing so few locations where we can receive a satellite signal, I have changed our Dish program package to one of the least expensive ones. Since we aren't full timers, it's nice to not have to pay for the service during the months we're not traveling.

Easy to set up, small so you can put it anywhere, but it is only a receiver, does not record. Really nice to know that I can take it anywhere and have access to the programs I don't want to miss.

Works wonderfully as our bedroom receiver. Much better having the HD instead of SD from the Living room receiver.
