Installed on my horse trailer for extra living/storage space. The trailer is 7' tall inside and I was worried that the cabana wouldn't be tall enough to reach the ground, but it is perfect! The first trip to the Flint Hills of KS there were 40mph wind gusts and rain the entire weekend. We staked as directed and placed an 80lb hay bale on the skirting of the windy side. The Cabana rocked vigorously but survived unscathed - unbelievable! Drawbacks are that I have yet to get it all back in the bag, so I just store the front wall separately and that the materials are very lightweight, not like other awnings at all so I'm not sure how long it will last. For now I'm very happy with it, it is the wind friendly hybrid tent/awning application I was looking for.
By 'camper travel van' you mean something like a Class B style vehicle, no. Primary issue with typical patio awnings and a van chassis is the lack of sidewall to mount an awning rail plus awning. Fiamma is one of the major manufacturers for patio awnings that can mount to vans with the use of special roof brackets.

Can you leave this on the camper while traveling?
Wondering if I have to remove the awning and bag off camper every time we travel?
by AnonymousJune 18, 2015
Yes, you can leave the awning on the camper during travel as long as the bag has been properly closed.

How to fasten sides with out drilling holes for the provided clips.
I seen a video where a suction device was used. Is this an accessory provided with new cabanas or can this be purchased separately. I really don't want to drill holes in the skin of my camper.
by PetterMay 31, 2015
Only permanent fasteners are available for this awning. Alternate fastening methods will have to be a home brewed solution.

Is it made of nylon? If not what is the material?
by RonMay 25, 2015
No, this Cabana Awning is made primarily of Vinyl.

Do you sell the track that this cabana has to attach to?
by AnonymousJuly 22, 2014
We do, yes. The rail comes in 4' sections, see items 56409 (polar white) and 56408 (satin silver).

Is the 9', 11' & 13' referring to the height on this item?
by BillMay 09, 2014
No, that is in reference to the horizontal length, measured at the point of contact along the rail on your trailer/camper.

how is this installed? Does it require multiple peices to assemble?
by bchaseJanuary 29, 2014
This item attaches to an awning rail on the pop-up camper. This is a full awning, including the sides, front and skirt. The only other item you would need is the awning rail.

How is it stored and mounted? I'm looking for something I can attach to the side of my Ford Excursion.
Can the screen sides and front be covered for privacy?
by MerlinJanuary 20, 2014
This is mounted on the side of a pop-up trailer. I am unsure if there would be room to install this on the side of a vehicle and have clearance for the doors to open. The screens do have privacy covers yes.

My camper awning track measures 11'6. Will this work for my camper?
by TreadzJune 03, 2013

June 05, 2013

by Eric7405April 06, 2013
