We upgraded to this fridge from a Norcold 12 cubic foot double door refrigerator. I did the installation myself. It takes at least three people to lift and move the fridge into position without damaging it and we had to take out a window to do it. Also my last refrigerator only had one AC plug requirement where is this refrigerator with the ice maker had 2 AC plug requirement. One for the refrigerator and one for the ice maker. So as part of the installation I had to install a new AC plug in the back of my unit. The Dometic website said that this fridge would fit in the same place as my Norcold and it did fit, kind of! Because this unit is 1 1/2 cubic feet more this refrigerator is deeper than my other refrigerator. Definitely check how deep this refrigerator is to see if it will fit into yours. I'm going to have to add extra trim to the front of the refrigerator to make it look nice and seal it off from the living space. Also if you don't have an ice maker currently on your refrigerator you probably don't have water going to that location either. So the ice maker that comes with this won't do you any good until you get water to the back of your fridge. I think the panels on this refrigerator are better constructed and we are able to put magnets on it. This refrigerator is also louder than our Norcold that we had. Sometime in the future I plan on replacing the fans on the back of the refrigerator with quieter fans. The shelves on the inside are easier to move around then our Norcold. Also the time from turning the refrigerator on to the time that it gets cold is quicker than the other one. It took almost 24 hours to get cold where this refrigerator took about 10 hours to get to the same temperatures. This is not taking into consideration other environmental factors. I have better insulation now and the temperature of the day on the outside of the RV has a say as well.
Pros: Larger than norcold equivalent , Better looking than norcold equivalent
Cons: Fans are noisy , Did not come with installation insulation , Will not fit through an rv door
