I have upgraded from an older Thetford (square box) to the Dometic 310 The installation was easy and the quality of the unit is g...reat. It is a pleasure to have the extra height and the ceramic bowl is a major upgrade from the old plastic bowl. This is the type uf unit you would find in a higher end RV.
This is the best RV toilet I've ever seen as it actually wash's the complete bowl as advertised. The only two reasons I gave it a ...four instead of a five star is that the foot pedal is a little too high off the floor and the seat top is not very solid. Even with the two cons, I would highly recommend this product.
The best investment I have ever made . Should have purchased this one before I
bought the Thetford Aqua Magic V . Paid the same... for the Dometic as I did for the
Thetford, and got a better toilet. This one looks better and is much quieter.
I didn't know that updating a toilet could be so important, until I did it. This toilet saves us water, because the water washes ...donw the whole inside. It is so quiet, I don't wake my spouse when I flush, unlike most others. It is sturdy, made of porcelain, I don't have to
bend over to flush the toilet, but just use my foot. I have a bad back, so this is a nice feature for me. Only gripe I have is that my original water pipe wouldn't hook up directly, so I had to buy some new line, so don't assume it will fit automatically just because its a
toilet replacing a toilet. I've had it a month now and will never have anything different.
We installed one of these toilets in out Fleetwood Mallard, it looked and worked
fanstastic. I like the foot flush much better t...han the side flush model we had. We just bought a newer model travel trailer at camping world this week and they are getting it all fixed up for us. While they are going through it we asked to have one of the 310 toilets installed in this one as well since we liked the other one we had so much.
This is a great product. The quality is excellent and the price is right. I replaced an existing toilet in my travel trailer, it t...ook around 15 minutes without any problems. This toilet works great, I like the foot operated flush and the height is much more comfortable than a standard toilet.
Shipping took only three days and everything was in good shape when it arrived. You will not find better value than this.
Bought this toilet a little over 1 1/2 years ago. Seat bolts do not stay tight. Foot pedal hangs up at times. This morning when I ...attempted to flush, the pedal broke off at the shaft. Nice time, holiday weekend, to have a toilet break and not being able to get replacement parts. That is if they have them. Would give it a 2 1/2 stars.
I'm very happy I purchased this toilet. Easy to install. Quiet flush & I like the way the water swirls around the bowl for a bette...r rinse. Is taller than the old square short toilet, so have more floor space too. I'd recommend to anyone who needs a new toilet!
We have been using this toilet for around 9 months now. We love the height but when
we flush it is so loud. You can hear it all... over the camper. I would like to know if i'm the
only one that this is happening to. Please let me know if there is anything i can do to

Fabulous toilet for women. Excellent install, good height, quality except for seat and lid which are cheap plastic. BIGGEST proble...m is the structure of the bowl. No lip so if you are a guy and happen to be seated, urine will flow up th bowl- and with no top ridge to the toilet,
up and over onto the floor. This creates a constant mess especially for young boys. Toilet would be fabulous with a
small design fix here and a replacement of the cheap seat/lid.
This was an easy install. It only took about 30 minutes to get the old one out and the
new one in, although when you order this ...toliet you will probably need a new flexible
water hose extension. My old toilet was a Thetford and the water connection was at the
top but the ridged water line of my 5th wheel could not be bent as the Dometic toilet
water connection was at the bottom. It was quite simple to get one through Dometic for
about $20 and it installed very easy. I tried getting this flexible extension from my local
RV dealers but not one of them had what I needed.
This came installed to my new toy hauler in 2012. I now know why. It's much less expensive than its counterparts. Reason being, wh...ile you can replace the seat, water valve and hoses, you cannot replace the flush pedal or any of the other components associated with the flush mechanism. After one year of use, the water valve began leaking. I tried tightening to no avail. I called several dealers. All of whom stated, this model is notorious for having leaky water valves. Replaced water valve. After two years of summer only use, the pedal broke off. I found that the pedal could not be replaced on this model and that if I wanted another, I'd have to buy a whole new toilet complete. Of course, I was on the road when this happened and had to limp back home before addressing the issue with a new toilet. I decided on the same 310 model as I am not keeping the toy hauler beyond this year. Fortunately, I'm able to upgrade to a larger fifth wheel toy hauler with a much better Dometic which is serviceable.
Fast shipping, even to Canada. Excellent product that only took a few minutes to install. I know it sounds crazy to get excited ab...out a new toilet, but it is such a huge improvement
from the older models that are lower. I have serious back issues and with the higher
profile of this product it makes my life easier. Would recommend this product to
I didn't like the rubber gasket used to connect the toilet to the flange. I thought it should be more definitive in connecting the... 2 pieces. So, I used a 3.5 inch piece of PVC. I placed the PVC in the toilet flange and lowered the toilet down on it and used the flange bolts as directed. I feel it is a stronger connection because the ring did not connect the 2 pieces as I would like (I know its not supposed to connect). I filed the PVC towards the flange side to decrease the lip so material doesn't hold on to it. I really like this idea and so far it has not caused problems.
I bought this unit to replace the stock plastic debacle installed in my 2015 Itasca. This 310 looks great on paper. In actual use ...- not so much. It sits too high, and the "residential seat" claim is bogus. The seat is very small -- "residential-size" if you live in a doll house. Shame on me for not getting this closer. After first use my 5'5" 115 pound wife switched to using the parks restrooms. My 6' 250 pound frame had no chance with this unit. Maybe my expectations were too high.
Pros: Auto fills toilet with water after flush, Small base footprint, Efficient operation
This toilet is a vast improvement from our former one. This is a great toilet for those who are tall. You do not have to do a ski ...sit to get on the toilet nor do you have to grab something to pull yourself upright. Also, it has a small footprint. I now have room for a small trash can next to the toilet. Love the fact that the toilet is a foot flush. The swirling action of the water after a flush is more like a home toilet and cleans the bowl very well. No more cleaning up marks after doing your business if you know what I mean. This toilet self-fills after flushing. Some things I do not like is that is only the bowl is ceramic. You have to be careful cleaning the plastic base or you can scratch it. The seat is such a cheap thin plastic. I doubt it will last a year before it cracks. All and all I would recommend this toilet to others. Hope this review helps you make a more informed decision about buying this product.
Pros: Foot flush, Auto fills toilet with water after flush, Small base footprint
RV style toilets do not have a water reservoir like a residential toilet so there is not a set volume of water per flush in a majority of cases. RV toilets will run water for as long as the flush pedal or handle is held. Flow rate of the toilet is the flow rate of your plumbing system. For the Dometic 310, minimum flow rate for proper operation is 2.0 GPM, recommend flow rate is 3.0 to 5.0 GPM.

What is the wait limit and will it fit in a 2002 Itasca soncruiser
These are tested up to 500 pounds. Since these toilets are universal to RV make/model, you will want to measure the space where the toilet is to be mounted to verify fit. Dimension information can be found in the Instruction Manual by Camping World – June 06, 2016
can you switch sides with the foot pedal? can you put it on the left side instead of the right side
Toilets available in Dometic's RV product division only has Right Side pedal flush. You will want to find a dealer of products for the Marine division of Dometic/Sealand for gravity flush toilets with a Left Side pedal like the Sealand 510+. Will this 310 be a perfect replacent for my Dometic 210?

Just checking to see if I will need to order anything else to put in the 310 high profile, taking out a dometic 210. Assuming I can reuse old flange. Its only 7 years old and fine. Just don't want to order it and find out later I need something else to make it work. Thanks!
A 310 model can nearly directly replace a 210 model. The same floor flange is used, but the 310 does not use additional screws in the back of the base like the 110, 210, and 510H toilet series does. The only additional item you will need to pickup is some caulk to lay a bead around the base of the new toilet and fill in the two extra mount holes left by the 210(if the two additional screws were used during install). What kind of water supply line is needed for 310 toilet?
The difference between a 310 and 320 model is that the 320 is designed closer to a residential style toilet with an elongated bowl and seat. The 320 also has a rim around the bowl like a residential unit, whereas the 310 has a 'straight' bowl with no rim with exposed water ports for flushing. The 320 is dimensionally a bit larger all around with a seat height of 18-1/4" on the standard model. The 310 has a seat height of 18" on the standard model.

What floor flange do I need for the Dometic 310?
by Scott – May 30, 2015
May 30, 2015
My floor flange in my Travel trailer has a crack in it and needs replaced before purchasing the Dometic 310. The information I have to figure out what flange I currently have is: it has "4 x 3" printed on the flange, it had a Thetford Aqua Magic IV toilet (standard profile) attached to it. What part number or link do you have for a replacement floor flange to use with the Dometic 310? Also do I need some kind of sealant laid down below the flange before putting bolting the flange down to the floor?
Extra information of my floor flange is it has an 8 bolt pattern with anchor bolt slots at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 position.
We have Dometic Toilet Mounting Kits in Bone and White. A 1/4" bead of silicone caulk should be laid around the inside circumference of the adapter that is included with the above mounting kits above. Caulking is not necessary between the toilet and the floor.
