Long term update

I purchased 2 of these valves back in 2009 (black and gray) to replace my troublesome cable valves, and they have been flawless. They are really quiet too. Since I am a permanent camper I did hook up the 12v power to it's own fuse in the event I want to leave my gray valve open, I just cut the power after opening. I don't know if it would hurt anything to leave them open but there is a red led light in the switch to indicate the valve is open and I simply didn't want to wear it out. Normally, however, I open and close the valves as needed.

Electric Waste Valves

I installed two of these valves in October of 2012; one on my Gray Water drain and the other on my Black Water drain. Both drains were operated by pull/push cables between 8 and 10' in length. The Black Water cable kept krimping and hanging up not opening or slow closing. Electric Waste Valves were easy to install and a major improvement that should have been done at least two years ago. We have made two trips since installing them and dumping has never been such a pleasure. Happy camping to anyone who installs these on their rig.

Cool valve!!

Too cool. My cable dump valve broke and instead of paying upwards of $80 to replace it I decided to give this valve a try since the price wasn't that much more ($129 on sale). I had to do a bit of plumbing as my hubs were from a Bristol valve (not common, 2002 Glendale Titanium). However, if you currently have a Valterra valve pluming should be a snap. The valve worked great and was very quiet. Only time will tell as to it's durability. The electrical hook-up was fairly straight forward. They give you two face places, one for black and one for grey. I like it so much I decided to purchase another (while still on sale) for my black water. In the event of a power failure or mechanical problem, a pin can be pulled and the valve operated manually. However, if your underbelly is enclosed like mine that really isn't much of an option.

I installed this myself with the switch being located in the bathroom. I had to use extra wire for the longer run, but I wanted to be able to operate the valve from inside the coach. I had to make a slight modification as the plumbing bay shroud impeded the mounting of the valve. (2007 Dynasty) I used the 12 volt circuit from the Sanicon system as I will not need to use the valve and the Sanicon system at the same time. The valve works like a champ! It is so nice to empty the black tank without having to open the plumbing bay. I am considering getting another one for the gray tank as well.

After a bad experience with another brand of electrically operated waste valve, I investigated the design and features of the Easy Valve, and decided to purchase one. I have not been disappointed. The valve installed easily and preforms flawlessly. Unlike the other brand, there is no guesswork in determining when the valve is open or closed.
