We live in a 4 seasons area so we pull the cartridge for winter storage, and it goes to our ice maker/drinking water spigot in hou...se. We go thru 3 cartridges a year, with care and bleach usage if any q's about water quality we have never had a water related challange.
We have been using in our RV for more than 10 years and find it to be an excellent product in all ways.
I have this filter on my diesel coach and although I did not install it myself, it works great. We are in our coach 8 months a ye...ar and I change the filter once a year. You can tell when it is time to put in a new filter as the flow will slow down. We use a cheap Sears inline filter to fill the water tank to take care of the larger particulates in the water which,
I'm sure, lengthens the time between Everpure filter replacements.
We had some difficulty installing the original filter cartridge because
of where it was installed, but once we understood how i...t works, it
was easy. The reduced flow rate is worth the improvement in water
taste and clarity
I received the product in a timely manner. The product was not exactly what I had
expected. I was expecting a different model fo...r the filter receptical. The filter was correct. I was trying to replace a existing filter recepical. The one I received would not fit without modications. I found a replacement receptical else where, but I needed the
filter, so I kept the product.
The Everpure for the RV is just what the doctor ordered. I had a Everpure Water System in
my previous RV as standard equipment. ...The new rig did not come with one. We
arrived on the Kenai peninsula in Alaska in May. Here they have a slight brown tint to
the water, so most people either ignore it or buy bottle water. I knew Everpure would
do the job, and has lived up the name. Good Job!
Yes, this filtration system will help remove odor and taste from the water.
An FYI, sulfur smell and taste in an RV water system many times leads to a water heater that is in need of cleaning and/or replacement anode rod. Checking the water source before going in to the RV will help determine if the water heater is part of the problem.
