I'll admit, it looks like over kill on my 4x8 Little Guy Silver Shadow, but I am dry and cool! Super easy to install over my existing Fan-tastic fan vent. I hope it travels well because I don't intend to carry a ladder with me to remove it.
Worked out well. easy install. After some miles, door popped open. couldn't loose it as it is secured at bottom. Used twist ties to secure door. not a problem tho
I installed two of these in less than an hour. Instructions were very clear. My only hesitation was removing four of
the screws holding the current housing to the roof, but that ended up being no big deal. Be sure to read directions on
proper placement of the washer as on the first one, I put them under the vent instead of on top of the vent. Fortunately it was no big deal to pop out the pins and move to the top of the vent housing. These vents look great, and
have darkened the rooms below the vent (bathroom, kitchen)of the RV.
Easy to install, easy to remove for cleaning, and you can leave your vent wide open all
the time! The camper was noticeably cooler while sitting. Well worth the money!
With this cover in place, yes, your vents can be open while traveling.
