Empty holding tanks through a garden hose into a portable tank, toilet, sewer clean-out port or septic tank.
The Flojet 18555-000 DC portable waste pump is the ideal solution for emptying holding tanks on recreational vehicles and avoiding dump stations. The macerator section grinds waste down to a particle size of 1/8" maximum so it can easily be pumped through a garden hose (5/8" minimum). The pump section is self-priming, permitting the unit to be mounted above the tank in a convenient location.
Empties most recirculating toilets in less than 2 minutes; empties a typical 30-gallon holding tank in less than 3minutes.
The 18555-series waste pump will macerate and pump all waste and tissue normally found in recreational vehicle waste systems. IT WILL NOT HANDLE HARD SOLID OBJECTS, SANITARY NAPKINS OR RAGS.
  • Connects directly to the RV waste outlet
  • Eliminates 3" (75 mm) sewer hose
  • Garden hose discharge port
  • Fresh water rinse capabilities
  • Remote handheld on/off switch with 6' (1.8 m) wire harness
  • Ability to dump longer distances
  • Ability to drain holding tanks at home
  • Easy clean up and storage
  • Rugged portable storage case
  • USCG and CSA listed
  • Run dry protection
Grey water hose sold separately (for grey and black water).

    “THIS PUMP IS AWESOME!”

I try to be an informed buyer and do a fair amount of research before making purchases. This includes reading reviews from others that have used the product. I am always very appreciative of the comments people have left, but rarely post anything myself. Well, I felt compelled to tell you all “THIS PUMP IS AWESOME!” Ido a lot of dry camping and finding a place to pump out isn’t always the easiest, not to mention the time and cost. I now use this to pump out when I get home. I connect it to a 100’, 3/4 inch hose into a septic line in my garage, which is about 4’ high. An added benefit of doing this at home is that I spend more time flushing the tanks to make sure they are good and clean. I highly recommend this pump to anyone that has the ability to pump at home.

When not on the road I park for extended periods of time at my children's country home. After researching the reviews and speaking to experienced RVers I purchased the FloJet Waste Pump. I added 175' of 3/4 hose to reach the sewer cleanout which is on an approximate 2-3 ' incline. The pump easily handles the distance. The other set of parents park their motorhome about 225' away from the cleanout and we had no problems emptying their tanks. This has been one of the best purchases I have made for our motorhome. No longer do I have to break camp and find a place to empty my waste tanks. On the down side I wish the unit could be used on 110 instead of 12 volt. The 110 receptacle is in the bin with the black/grey water valves. It requires purchasing additional wires, connecting to the aux battery bank and running to the bin. I bypassed this by adding alligator clips and connecting to the car battery. One other problem is the bayonet blades are not a universal size. They do not allow enough room to connect to the sewage drain valve. I found a solution from another RVer when researching. File the opening to provide enough clearance for it to twist on easily with the o-ring in place. I still give it a 5 because it does an excellent job now that I have resolved the wiring and connection issues.

I had one of these with my first camper. When I sold the camper I let it go with it not thinking I would own another. When I got my trailer it was one of my first purchases!

I recently purchased the FloJet because I was going to be parked in driveway of relative in San Diego for 2 months while they recuperated from surgery. Very hard driveway to get in and out of and could not move to dump site. Pumped 100 ft. with 5/8 garden hose run into a toilet bowl. Pumped about 85 gal. of black and grey water in about 30 minutes. Worked very well. After reading all the reviews about a short wiring run being needed I hook up to an emergency starting battery that I bought at costco so that no extra wiring is needed. Works very well . Would give it 5 stars but have just used it for a month and and that is not long enough to tell. I am very pleased with this product so far.

I've only used this twice so far but I would say that there isn't any thing I can think of to improve on it. Works great does just as it says it does. Time will tell if it holds up well or not.

Easy solution to emptying holding tanks from a distance

I was surprised how lightweight the pump was. Installation is just a twist onto the dump pipe. Getting the 12 volt supply to it was the hardest part and it would be nice if they had wired it so the switch came right out of the pump. As it is you need to do almost all of the wiring yourself including the switch. I ended up throwing away most of the wires they supplied and used some much better wire and put battery clamps on the ends to connect to my battery. I use a 100 foot hose with 3/4 inside diameter and pump up hill about 5 feet higher than the trailer to my septic tank. It takes almost a half hour total if the tanks are 3/4 full. But there's been no problems and I'm really glad I got this instead of any of the other more elaborate and expensive plans I was coming up with! I especially like the rinse port on the side of the pump. I rinse it well after each use and when I take it off there is no offending odor.I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the less than ideal wiring they provide.

Some difficulty with electrical hookup. Instructions unclear. Slightly slower to empty tank than expected but does the job. Once electrical hooked up, is easy to use.

My RV mechanic and I hooked it up and in 10 minutes it completely emptied a 60 gallon tank 50 feet up a slope through a 3/4 hose. Add another 5 minutes to flush clear and we were done. Even he was very impressed. Fantastic item.

Very convenient and easy to use. Empties the tank in about the same time as conventional dumping, but allows me to perform the task at home. Depending on where your battery location versus your holding tank connection, you may need additional wiring. Can be wired permanently then twist on and connect the pump as needed. Very happy with this ITT industries product

One of the best things I ever purchased

I used this unit many times over the past 6 years, while building a new home I was able to pump into a porta pottie weekly. I also tow a 30' trailer which keeps me a greater distance form the dump connection. Much neater then the three inch hose. Now I'm at my neices house for the last 2 weeks and have been able to pump directly into their cesspool thur the vent stack, A+ in my book.

    Fulltime Feedback

We are full-timers and bought this pump 3 years ago and have used it dozens of times without any problems. I would not recommend it for every dump, but when you can't use a standard gravity dump this unit is INDISPENSIBLE! I use a 75' commercial Goodyear 3/4 inch diameter hose typically pumped over level ground (have pumped many times through 3 hoses - 225 feet - about 15 feet down hill in elevation into a commode) and would compare the flow to a typical garden hose on full blast. However I've lifted the end of the hose over 10 feet above my dump valve with no appreciable decrease in flow. On level ground it typically takes me 15-20 minutes of non-stop running to completely evacuate 40 gallons of black followed by 30 or so gallons of grey water (to flush after the black is empty, with the black valve open, simply open grey valve which quickly forces grey water at high volume into the black tank, close the grey valve and re-pump the black tank again several times until clean.) When finished I rinse inside the pump head blades and I've used needle-nose pliers a couple of times to pull out excess hair from the blades, but have never needed to disassemble the pump head. Immediately after use the motor is hot enough to burn you, so I hold onto the pump head while rinsing. As a retired electrical engineer, I would guess that most people don't provide the proper wiring size between the motor and the battery. Check the voltage at the motor when running (pumping waste water under load) and make sure it is close to 12 volts. If the voltage drops while the motor is running, the current (amps) proportionally increases, which will eventually burn-out the motor (carefully read and obey the wiring instructions). The wires can be slightly warm to the touch while the motor is running, but they should NEVER be hot to the touch! Overall I couldn't live without mine and since I haven't had any of the bad experiences noted in these posts, I have to give this product very high marks!

I have owned this for probably 5 years. I use it atleast twice a month during our extended 8 month camping season. I have never experienced any problemas with the pump at all, and i run it longer then they recomend to the point where the motor is so hot you can't touch it. I pump up hill thu a 3/4 diameter hose with no problem also. From the abuse I give it and from some of the reviews on here about it, it should have stopped working about 5 years ago!!!! I don't know what we would do without it.........

I bought the Flojet RV waste pump about a year and a half ago and i have to say it was the best money I ever spent! It has worked flawlessly every time I used it. I spend about 30 minutes draining, back filling, and draining. I also purchased a clear extension so I could see when the tank was clean. I always clean it after each use. I give it five stars and would recommend it to anyone. It's my opinion anyone having problems, isn't using it right.

Yea, I ran into the hair problem also. After that I checked it on a regular basis. When it finally did quit running I tore it apart. The top seal had failed which allowed fluid into the motor. The main reason it quit working was that the bearing which was on top rusted and seized up. It was great while it worked but when I lay this kind of money out I expect something to last a little more than a couple of years
