    Great Little Fridge Fan!

Bought this for its intended use-circulate air inside the fridge to help keep it cooler. I tried it out on my motorhome's maiden voyage and it worked superbly. It actually lowered the inside temperature roughly 5 additional degrees. I would recommend this product. Just make sure you have access to enough D cell batteries for your excursions.

Placing the fan on the bottom shelf evened the temperature in the whole refrigerator, whereas before, the top shelf was about 6-8 degrees colder than the bottom shelf. Like others have mentioned, getting the batteries in and out is difficult to do. Making the unit a fraction of a millimeter larger would eliminate this issue.

    Works Well - But

I used the fan in a 4 door Norcold 12cft refrigerator. I placed it on the bottom floor of the refrigerator as the fan instructed. Pros: The fan kept the temperature inside the refrigerator much more consistent even when opening and closing the doors. I was very pleased with how the fan worked. The on and off switch is very convenient. Cons: The battery case is so tight I had to force the D batteries into the case. This made the case bulge and warp slightly. There was no way I could pull the batteries back out. They were wedged in too tight. I had to knock the bottom of the case on a corner of a work bench several times until the batteries fell out. The battery case does not have small springs to hold the batteries like most appliances. It has flat metal strips. One time I put the batteries in and the fan would not run. The batteries were not touching the metal strips. I had to get the batteries back out and put them in again before it would run.

I believe this works and it really helps circulate the air. I notice my fridge has more even distribution of coolness. I have turned down the setting on my thermostat. It is quiet, takes up minimal space. We will see how long the battery lasts.

This fridge fan is not very well made, had to fight with the batteries to get them to stay in. It does help the fridge stay cool.

    FridgeCool Fan with On/Off Switch

Love it. The old one didn't have a shut off so I had to take the batteries out after each use. Now all I have to do is remember to shut it off. It works great too. It doesn't take much to circulate the air inside - before I started using these fans, I had frozen stuff on the top shelf-with the fan, the bottom is cooler and the top doesn't freeze.

We Have had the old fan that you had to take the batteries out when you was not using it. Well after 5 years it died. The new fan with the on /off button will be nice. We use it in our fridge in the trailer.

Great product. This is our first one, thought we would try it out (price) Keep the fridge cooler. Can't beat the price for something to help keep the fridge cooler with less work on the system.

I bought this to replace one that I had had for 20 years that finally started to fail. This looks solidly built, but the fan speed is much slower than the one it replaced. I hope it does the job as it will be only moving 1/2 the air volume.

This totally helps cool your refrigerator! The new ones have an off/on switch with the old ones did not..you needed to take the batteries out. Our old one still works..so we put both of them in. By the way ...the old one was at least 8 or 9 yrs. old! They are well worth the investment.

Failed after four years of use. The fan motor is not properly secured to the base. This unit failed because the fan motor was held to the base by two fragile electrical wires providing power. The motor should have been secured with some adhesive.

This little fan is durable and compact. I agree the battery insertion was difficult but well worth the effort. It keeps the fridge at a constant even temperature.

it works, but it is real cheaply made. the dimensions on it was off so much that it can hardly take its own D size battery. I can actually see stretch lines on the plastic from putting the batteries in, which i had to force because the space was too small. but it does work. I guess it was only 10 bucks right.

I read several of the poor reviews on this unit but opted to get one anyways but purchased the no hassle warranty so I can return it and get a replacement if it dies or gets broken. It is built rather poorly and is difficult to get the battery cover on properly. However, it does work as advertised. It dramatically improved the cool down time of the fridge/freezer and maintained the factory set temp in the fridge which wasn't possible before. I onlygive it 4 stars because it is built rather poorly even though it does work as advertised. A better built unit would be a home run.

    Cools Fridge and Works Great

Had one in my last motorhome. Keeps fridge cool and useable even in the summer desert weather in Lake Havasu at 120 degrees outside. Without fan Fridge won't stay cold enough in this weather. Just bought another one for my new rig and works great as well. Lots of reviews seem to state the fans are flimsy but both fans I have owned have worked as advertised.

I have had it for years - We just took a 2 week trip and I did have to change the batteries before we left home. The fan works great and circulates well. Surely happy we got the older model. You should have one but do get the one without the switch. I have dropped it - forgot it in the fridge one time for a month - fridge was on at the time - it was still running when I remembered to check it. I just pull the batteries when not in use.

After three years the fan wouldn't turn. I snapped it open,, removed and cleaned the fan, after putiing it back together it works fine. Great for smaller refrigerators. I wouldn't be without one. I plan to get one for my cabin and boat.

This was recommended to me by a friend who also had a hard time with the battery cover. Since I was aware of this, I took care in battery installation. Two trips out, still works great. Yes, I'd buy it again!

You need something like this. I have thermostats in both my fridge and freezer and saw my freezer temp drop 10 degrees (good-from 10F to 20F) while the fridge stayed the same temp. Obviously the fridge wasn't working as hard. My kid dropped it and the motor came free of its soldered attachments and couldn't be repaired. Not happy with how frail it is.
