My family and I have been buying these for over 3 years (not just from Camping World). We love the blues, purples, greens and yellows. We wait until the coals are good and red-hot, then after we've cooked our marshmallows on the campfire - we'll sit back and enjoy our beautiful flames. People come by and comment on the flames and the colours we get. I usually only use one packet at a time (maybe I'm cheap, but it works). Our flames will usually stay coloured for about 40-80 minutes or so. I will definitely buy this product again, as a matter of fact, I just bought 2 more boxes today.

I'm not sure if people read the instructions, but I bought 2 boxes. We opened up the packets and sprinkled the stuff over the fire - WRONG! We didn't get any effect. So I read the directions - I then put the packets on an established fire UNOPENED just like I was supposed to the first time. Voila! It worked - for 30 minutes, we got beautiful colors just as the company claimed. Retry it, but FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! I am so sure that's what happened with the other people who left reviews. They're cheap and the kids (and husbands) love them!

I have been using this product on my last few camping trips and I think I mastered how to use it. If you throw the packets onto the hot coals once the fire is hot, you will get great results. If for some reason you aren't getting a great reaction throw a new log onto the fire and it will mix up the Funky Flames or you can use a fire utensil and stir up the coals. My whole family was entertained. I would definitely recommend this product.
