Micro-Therm Air Filter System is like a breath of fresh air, replacing the standard, non-filtered intake grill on your ducted air conditioner and giving you precise control over air flow for optimum cooling power. Washable, replaceable HEPA-type filter traps bacteria on the anti-microbial fibers. Easy-to-see indicator shows when the filter needs cleaning. “Quick-cool” mode maximizes air flow to quickly cool down the living area of your RV. Once the room is comfortable, re-direct air flow through ductwork to cool the rest of the RV and maintain a comfortable temperature throughout. Indicator light shows when your solar panel is working, if your air conditioner is so equipped. For use on ducted Duo-Therm air conditioners and heat pumps. 20 3/4”L x 18 1/2”W x 1 3/4”H. I special-ordered this product from Camping World at Indianapolis. The store manager said this was the first he had ever sold. After driving home and un-packing the parts, now I know why. Reading the instructions, page 3, paragraph 1(General Information), states "The Genesis Air Filtrations System is designed for installation for: 1. Installation on a recreational vehicle at the time the vehicle is manufactured." Through reading of the instructions reveals why the filtration system must be installed at time of air conditioner/heat pump installation. The hole in the RV roof must be cut to an exact size. Duct-work placement must conform to installation instructions. A side note to this is, two components are missing from the shipping container. In summation; the Genesis Air Filtration System may be a quality Dometic product, but is advertised as an after-market product. It is NOT. It must be installed as part of the original air-conditioner/heat pump installation.
