Your Membership includes over 20 emergency medical and travel coordination services to take the stress out of an overwhelming situation. Whether it be arranging the return of your RV if you are unable to drive it home, or making arrangements for your pet to be cared for while you are being treated – Good Sam TravelAssist is on-call in case of a medical emergency away from home.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE BENEFITS:
- Emergency Medical Evacuation
If adequate treatment is not available at the hospital you are taken to, here or abroad, we'll transport you to the nearest medical facility that can provide the medical care you need in case of accident or sudden illness while traveling. Unlimited dollar amount. Estimated cost for international air ambulance evacuation can be over $50,000!
- Vehicle Return
We will arrange and pay for the return of your RV or other non-commercial vehicle by a professional driver if you or your traveling companion cannot drive it home due to your medical emergency.
- Return of Deceased Remains
We will arrange and pay for return of your deceased remains in the event of a fatal accident or illness while traveling.
- Transport to Home Area
We will transport you via economy class air transportation to a medical facility near your home to recover if medically necessary after hospitalization.
- Solo Traveler Companion Travel Benefits
If you are traveling alone and are hospitalized for 7+ days, we will arrange and pay round-trip economy airfare for a companion of your choice to join you.
- Co-Traveler Companion Travel Benefits
We will transport your travel companion, if feasible, in the air ambulance at no cost. If you are being transported home after hospitalization, we will arrange and pay for the return flight of your traveling companion.
- Return of Minor Children
We arrange and pay for the return flights of your dependent children or grandchildren traveling with you, including an adult escort if necessary, if they are left unattended due to an accident or illness you incurred while traveling
TRAVEL ASSISTANCE*:
- Pet Care & Return Assistance
We will assist in making arrangements for your pet to be cared for or transported safely home if you are hospitalized or unable to take care of it due to an accident or illness
- Prescription Medication and Glasses Replacement
We will assist with the replacement of your prescriptions, corrective lenses, eye glasses, or medical devices if they are lost, stolen, or broken during travel.
- Trip Planning and Support
We will provide pre-trip assistance including: translation and consular services, inoculations, visa and other travel requirements, and even help arranging transportation the event of a security threat or social unrest
- Emergency Travel Coordination
We will provide assistance with rebooking flights and making new travel arrangements in an emergency, forward emergency messages to your friends or family, assist in locating lost luggage, and arrange for replacement of lost passports, visas, credit cards, etc.
- Emergency Support Services
We can arrange for a qualified doctor, dentist, or legal referral, assist in securing a bail bond, as well as assist in arranging for cash transfers, deposits and guarantees for medical or travel expenses charged to your credit card
- Emergency Medical Coordination & Monitoring
We will evaluate and monitor your medical condition from check-in until you return home. This includes monitoring doctor's reports, test results, transferring your medical records, and more to ensure you get the appropriate care. We may dispatch a physician or other health care professional to assist in determining your medical conditions and ability to travel.
