We keep this over the stove. Not only is it useful, mobile, and large enough to hold a lot of cut food, but it vertically slips easily between the wall and the hood next to the stove when not in use. It also prevents the cooktop from rattling when we're driving. Doesn't slip - the non-skid pad works like a charm. To keep it clean and nice looking, we use a thin plastic cutting board over top of it, and usually move it to the dining table or over the sink when cooking on the cooktop. A must-have for our RV
