This regulator beats the 45 PSI regulator hands down. I have the protection from high water pressure, but at the same time this regulator gives me great water pressure; far and above the 45 PSI type. What a differance--you need to replace your old one with this one and you will see what I am talking about!

Hi Flow Water Regulator

The flow is good through this regulator. It is very prone to leaking however. It seems like the screen and gasket are too pliable and move around when it is tightened and this causes leaks.

So far, so good

Having lived full time on the road for over seventeen years,we've been through a number of pressure regulators, from the $5 plastic job at Walmart to the $60 adjustable kind. they all eventually plug up or quit holding pressure at the specified limit. On top of that, the flow rate from all but the most expensive (in my experience, that is) is pitiful. My wife is constantly complaining about the lack of pressure and flow because it takes forever to rinse out her hair in the shower. NOW, with this new Hi Flow regulator, she came out of the shower and said, I like it! That really makes me happy. We've only been using it for a couple of weeks, so I don't know how long it will last, but I would suspect it will last longer than the others because of the better flow rate. Usually they clog up from mineral deposits, so less constriction SHOULD lead to less buildup, or at least a longer time before it restricts flow. For only a couple of dollars more than the low flow, this is WELL worth it. I bought two, just in case, but if I get 6 months to a year out of this, I will stock up on them for the future.
