I made one trip without my bicycles covered, and got something on them (unknown corrosive) that burned spots on the plastic parts. I bought this cover right after that trip. It is not easy to put on, but it does protect the bikes. Because it is big, it takes some work to get the cover situated and the slack pulled out of the straps, but it is worth the work.

Leaky Bike Cover

We purchased one of these about three months ago. It really needs to be redesigned not to take on water. It kind of defeats the purpose of covering your bike. After a good rain, you will have to remove the cover, take the bikes down to get rid of all of the accumulated water on the bottom. The water may be coming in along zipper. Maybe a zipper cover could be designed. Other than water getting in it, it is big enough to cover our two bikes on the rack that we have.

This works fine if carrier is mounted on motor home. In our case we choose to mount the carrier on our towed vehicle so we can leave the motor home in the campground and drive to the more remote areas we want to bike in. Unfortunately with the carrier mounted on our towed vehicle, the cover blocks the brake lights and turn signal. Make sure this is what you need before purchasing

Ready for my 2nd cover

I have used the Swagman cover for 5 years and finally, after a heavy hail storm, I need a new one. I have no complaints on the cover but do wish it had installation/use instructions. I have used it on both styles of Swagman 2-bike cariers and it works fine. I figure $12 a year to give some protection to our bikes is well worth it.

Great protection for your bicycle

We purchased two of the Swagman covers. I have several thousand miles with the covers on and they do not show wear. We have cruiser style bikes with high handlebars and the cover will not fit over two bikes. It affords excellent protection. I would purchase again.

We have two extended frame bikes with cruiser type handlebars and they fit fine in this cover. The only thing I would have liked is some basic instructions on what all the velcro openings were for and went where? Nothing in the box but the cover.

Vary Nice Bike Cover

We bought new bikes with the high handle bars, and I was a little concerned that the cover would not fit, because I was at it's max height, I had to make some adjustments on the bike rack, ( had to move the bikes closer to each other ) but now it fit great, and sure keeps the bike clean. I am vary pleased with the cover.

Bike Cover

Current unit has just worn out after 5 years of faithful service. Can cover 3 bikes with the front wheels off so as it will zip or 2 bikes with the wheels on. On both aforementioned it will be necessary to turn the handle bars and tie them down. Also recommended to put something between the bikes so as not to scrath and be sure the pedels are turned to not do the same. Zipper should have a twister tie so it will not come open in travel from the wind. If you get a worn spot that rides in the same place each time just sew inside a patch from parachute cloth for extended life.

Not for us

Unfortunately we had to return this item for credit. We use a Yakima Hitch Mount bicycle rack inserted into a two inch receiver with two Trek Hybrid bikes but just simply couldn't get it to go over our bikes, and close. We really wanted this cover to work for us, but simply couldn't get the zippers to close. I does seem like good quality for the price, and may be OK for others, although we were somewhat concerned that driving down the road at sixty miles an hour might cause it to deteriorate. If it had fit, we would have kept it, even given that concern.
